Master-class "Gift wrapping with herringbone from two sheets of paper"
⇒ Step 1 Basic tools and materials:
- two sheets of packing paper of different colors;
- scissors;
- glue or scotch tape (it is more convenient two-sided);
- beautiful packing tape;
- a toy or a Christmas composition for decor.
⇒ Step 2: Cut a rectangle out of one sheet of paper that will cover the top and two sides of the gift box. Attach the paper with small pieces of tape. ⇒ Step 3.Take a second sheet of wrapping paper, preferably a contrasting color. This sheet should now completely cover the entire box. Wrap the gift with paper so that the edges of the sheet are on top. ⇒ Step 4: Fold the edges diagonally to create a triangle-shaped opening. ⇒ Step 5. Wrap the gift box in paper. Secure the sides with tape. In this case, double-sided tape was used, which is very convenient. A triangular cutout remains at the top. ⇒ Step 6.Make neat small cuts with scissors on the two sides of the triangle. These will be the branches of the tree. The fluffiness and visual height of the tree depend on how deep the cuts are and what distance there is between them.⇒ Step 7. Fold the slits up.⇒ Step 8. Decorate the gift wrap with a beautiful ribbon and a Christmas tree decoration.
Master-class "Gift wrapping with cut out silhouette of the Christmas tree"
Basic tools and materials:
- two sheets of wrapping paper of different colors;
- scissors and a stationery knife;
- adhesive and adhesive tape (preferably two-sided);
- decorative stickers or confetti in the form of snowflakes, Christmas toys.
⇒ Step 1.Cut a rectangular sheet of wrapping paper to the size of the gift box. The length of the rectangle is a full wrap of paper around the box (2 sides, top and bottom) plus 2-3 cm, the width is equal to twice the width of the box plus 3-4 cm. ⇒ Step 2. Wrap the paper around the gift box, mark with a pencil where the silhouette of the Christmas tree will be located. Remove the paper from the box and draw half of the Christmas tree on the back side with a simple pencil. Alternatively, you can pin the drawing with a needle.⇒ Step 3.Use a stationery knife to cut out half of the tree. Where the fold will be, first make a depression, for example, under a ruler, draw the fold with a non-writing ballpoint pen, knitting needle or stick. Bend the tree to the front side of the wrapping paper. ⇒ Step 4. Cut out a rectangle from paper of a different color, a couple of centimeters larger than the silhouette of the Christmas tree. Glue it to the back of the wrapper using glue or double-sided tape. ⇒ Step 5. Wrap the box in paper. Use stickers, rhinestones, confetti to decorate the tree.
