This master class on knitting slippers will teach you how to knit warm and comfortable slippers with knitting needles.
For work we will need:
- the main color yarn (about 100 g),
- knitting needles,
- hook or needle,
- additional yarn,
- scissors.
Cast on 28 stitches with extra yarn and knit one or two rows of knit stitches (auxiliary rows). We break off the additional thread and attach the thread of the main color.
We mark the tenth loops with a marker on both sides of the knitting.
Knit all rows with front loops (garter stitch)knitting). We knit the marked loops on the back side as purl, and on the front side of the knitting - as front loops (these are the loops that separate the sole and the sides of the slippers - dividing loops).
Having knitted 10-11 cm (for size 36-37) we will makeyarn overs near the dividing loops from the sole side. When knitting larger or smaller sizes of slippers, we knit more or fewer centimeters accordingly.
Knit another 9-11 cm (for size 36-37) with face loops. The knitting length will vary depending on the larger or smaller size of the slippers.
When you knit, apply the slipper to your foot,in order not to make a mistake in the size of the slipper. Having knitted to the beginning of the little finger, we switch to knitting with another pattern - 1x1 elastic and knit about 4 cm (also depending on the size of the slippers). The smaller the size, the fewer centimeters we need to knit with 1x1 elastic.
We cut the thread, leaving the end of the thread20-25 centimeters, so that you can sew with a needle or connect the sides with a crochet hook. We pull the thread through all the loops of the last row, that is, we collect all the loops on this thread.
We pull the loops tightly with this thread.
With the same thread we sew one third of the fabric. You can sew with a needle, or you can connect with a hook, capturing the edge loops.
Now let's remove the rows connected by the additionalyarn, from the opposite side of the slipper from the heel. The loops knitted with the yarn of the main color will be open. To prevent the loops from unraveling, I gathered them on three sock knitting needles (middle loops and side loops). Cut a thread from the yarn of the main color about 20-25 centimeters long. Pull the sock knitting needle out of the middle eight loops and pull the thread through them and pull tightly. Tie the ends of the threads with two knots so that our loops do not unravel. And with the same thread, sew with a needle or connect the side open loops with a crochet hook. To prevent our knitting from unraveling, secure the thread with a needle or crochet hook on the wrong side of the knitting.
We will knit the second slipper in a similar way.
Using a hook or needle, hide all the ends.threads. We tie the slippers with single crochets using threads of a different color. It can be in the same tone as the main yarn, or in a contrasting color. If you wish, you can decorate the slippers with a pompom or any knitted flower. As your imagination tells you. I have knitted a rose.
