Detailed master class on crocheting a New Year's craft for 2016 - monkeys
On the eve of the New Year I want to make my ownsomething interesting and unusual with your hands, and, of course, so that it is associated with the symbol of the coming year. According to the eastern calendar, 2016 is symbolized by a monkey. Based on this, I would like to offer a detailed master class on crocheting a monkey. Toys made using the crochet technique are beautiful and quite pleasant to the touch. Such a symbol of the New Year will please not only children, but also adults. The size of such a toy is about 27 cm. As a filler, I try to use thin foam rubber, which I pre-cut into small pieces. Due to the foam rubber, the toy is not only soft, but also elastic, and the parts hold their shape perfectly. List of necessary materials for crocheting a monkey:
Each person knits toys in their own way.Some knit the toy as a whole without separating, while others knit the parts first and then connect them together. I like the second option the most. First, you need to knit the main parts: the head and the body, in order to then orient the size of the other parts. Knitting the head Let's start knitting the monkey from the head. To knit the head, you will need a beige knitting thread. You need to make a chain of 5 air loops and connect the outer loops to form a closed circle. Then this row needs to be knitted, this will be our 2nd row. The part needs to be expanded, so in the 3rd row you need to knit an additional loop from every 2nd loop of the row. The 4th row is knitted in a circle without adding loops. In the 5th row, you need to knit an additional loop from every 3rd loop of the row. Knit in a circle without adding loops rows No. 6-13. From the 14th row, we begin to decrease the loops. Therefore, in every 4th loop of the row, we decrease the loops. This is done as follows: put the next loop on the hook - do not knit and then put on another loop, and then pull the thread through all 3 loops. Knit the 15th row in a circle without decreasing the loops. In the 16th row, it is necessary to decrease the loops in every 4th loop of the row. Fill the head with finely chopped foam rubber or synthetic padding and continue knitting. The 17th row is simply knitted in a circle without decreasing the loops. And in the 18th and 19th rows, it is necessary to decrease in each loop so that the piece tightens. Secure the thread well and cut it. Use a hook to hide the rest of the thread. The head is knitted and it is time to start knitting the body.
Knitting the body For knitting the body alsoyou will need only beige thread. We will start the body from the top by expanding to the bottom. So, we crochet a chain of 5 loops and connect it as for the head. Then the next row is simply crocheted in a circle. And in the 3rd row, you need to add loops in every 4th loop of this row.
The 4th row is simply tied in a circle.In the 5th row - you need to make an addition in every 3rd loop of the row. The 6th row - just tie in a circle. And in the 7th row you need to knit an additional loop from every 3rd loop of the row, and the following rows 8-12 just knit without adding. The body needs to be filled with foam rubber, since then the loops will begin to shrink, and the hole will tighten.
In the 13th row you need to decrease one loopthrough every 3 loops of the row, and in the 14th row do the same, but through every 2 loops of the row. In the 15th and 16th rows, you need to reduce all the loops so that in the end there is one left. Cut the thread and hide it. The body and head for the monkey are ready. Let's move on to knitting the next parts.
Knitting the arms To knit the arms you will need white andbeige yarn. We start knitting with white thread. Connect the outer loops of the chain of 4 air loops and tie. Then in the 3rd row add one loop in each 4th row. Rows No. 4-7 knit with white yarn without adding loops.And rows No. 8-13 knit with beige yarn withoutloop additions. Fill the blank with foam rubber and continue knitting. In the 14th row, you need to reduce one loop through every 3 loops of the row. Then make a reduction in each loop in the 15th and 16th rows. Using the same analogy, you need to knit the second handle for the monkey.
Knitting the legs The legs are similar in knitting to the arms, butthey are thicker and more white yarn is used. We start knitting with a white thread. A chain of 5 air loops should be collected into a ring and tied around it. Then in each 3rd loop of the row add one additional loop, and tie the 4th-8th rows around the ring without adding. Fill the leg with foam rubber and continue knitting.
We use beige thread for work andknit the 9th-11th rows with it. Next, you need to make a decrease in every 3rd loop of the 13th row and fill the leg with foam rubber. Make a decrease in each loop of the 14th and 15th rows. Fasten the thread, cut it and remove it with a hook inside the workpiece. Using the same analogy, you need to knit the second leg for the monkey.
Knitting a tail To knit a tail you will needbeige and white thread. For this part of the body, first take the white thread and make a chain of 4 air loops. The 2nd row is simply knitted, and in the 3rd row you should add one loop in each 4th loop of the row. From the 4th to the 7th rows - knit without adding loops. Fill the tail with foam rubber. From the 8th to the 22nd row, a beige thread is introduced into the work and everything is knitted in a circle without adding loops. In the 23rd row, you need to make a decrease in every 3rd loop of the row, and fill the tail with foam rubber. Knit the next row in a circle, and in the 25th row make a decrease in each loop. Finish the detail and secure the thread.
Knitting ears Ears are knitted mainly from whitethreads, and are tied with a beige thread. The eye is knitted as follows: a chain of 16 air loops is collected with a white thread. Then this chain needs to be tied on one side. Fold the workpiece in half. Knit, passing the hook through these two halves, and knit like this in one direction, and then in the opposite direction. Take a beige thread and tie the white workpiece, but only to the head. Cut the threads and hide them inside the eye. In the same way, you need to knit the second eye.
Knitting a nose. For this you will need white thread.From 5 air loops you need to create a chain and tie along the oval. In the 3rd row, tie along the oval with an increase in every 4th loop. Then in the next row, also tie along the oval, but add one loop in the outer loops (of the oval). Tie the next row along the oval. And in the 6th row, add one loop through every 3 loops of the row. The 7th row is simply tied along the oval. Before gluing the nose, it needs to be filled with foam rubber.
Knitting a forelock The forelock is knitted on two socksknitting needles from brown thread. Cast on 6 loops and knit them. Then wind the thread around the index finger in 2 turns and knit the resulting “double loop”, then wind and knit again and so on to the end of the row. The 4th row is simply knitted with face loops. The 5th row is knitted with “double loops”, and the 6th row is knitted with face loops. In the 7th row, make “double loops” and knit, and the 8th row is knitted with face loops. The 9th row is knitted with “double loops”, and the 10th row is knitted with face loops. Close the loops and cut the thread. The forelock is ready, all that remains is to glue and fluff it up. And also make the tip of the nose on the white blank out of black yarn so that it is black, and make the mouth out of red thread.
Assembling the toy When all the parts of the toy are ready,You can start assembling. Heat up the glue gun. First glue the head to the body, then glue the arms and legs, the tail. You need to glue the ears to the head.
Glue the curly forelock and nose to the head.Make eyes for the monkey from black beads. Tie a bow of polka-dotted satin ribbon around the monkey's neck. Glue the bow so that it stays in one place and does not come undone if someone tugs on it. Don't forget to singe the ends of the ribbon with a match so that it does not unravel.
