A detailed master-class toys made of rubber bands are weaving from the owl's rubber bands with our own hands.
Soft toys are in every home, regardless ofwhether children live in it or not. Various animals are always there and will be a good gift or souvenir. Now, to make a beautiful toy, you do not necessarily need to know how to sew or knit, you can weave it with rubber bands! This activity is very interesting and exciting. And the result is no worse than a sewn or knitted product. Today we will weave an owl.For this we need:
- Rubber bands;
- hook;
- sintepon (or any other filler).
You can use any colors for the owl.You can use only 1 color of rubber bands, the owl will look no worse. But we will weave a bright striped bird. We form a lumigurumi ring of 6 loops with orange rubber bands. To weave the owl's body, we will use 4 colors. You can take more, then the stripes will not repeat. In the next row, we will add, that is, knit 2 rubber bands into each loop. As a result, we will get 12 loops. In the next row, we make an increase in every 2nd loop. As a result, we get 18 loops. In the next row, we add in every 3rd loop.The next 2 rows are knitted with orange elastics, 1 in each loop. We will not add more. Now we form the height of the owl.To make the owl striped, you need toknit 2 rows in one color. That is, we knit 2 rows with pink rubber bands, the next 2 rows with lilac, then with red, then with pink again, and so on. In total, you need to knit 1 rubber band in each loop for 15 rows. Now let's put the owl away for a while and knit eyes for it. We will knit them using the same lumigurumi ring. We cast on 6 loops in black. Next, 2 rubber bands - in each loop with white rubber bands. Another 1 row with an increase - with white rubber bands.We will attach the eyes in the usual way. For this we will use red rubber bands. We attach the eyes and sew them to the loop on the body and to the half-loop on the eye.Now let's make the beak.For this, you can use yellow or brown rubber bands. Twist the yellow rubber band on the hook 2 times. Pass a pair of yellow rubber bands through the loops that have formed on the hook. Do not put the other part of this pair of rubber bands on the hook yet. Pass another pair through the loops from the hook. Put the other part of this pair on the hook and return the hanging part of the pair that was already on the hook. Pass 2 more pairs only through the 2 left pairs on the hook. Put the other part on the hook. Now remove all the loops from the hook onto a pair of yellow rubber bands.To attach the beak, we insert the hookfrom inside the owl in the right place. We grab 1 part of the rubber bands and tighten them inside. We leave the yellow rubber bands on the hook and from the inside we emerge with the hook outward again, stepping back the loop. We grab the 2nd part of the yellow rubber bands and also tighten them inside. Inside we have 4 yellow loops on the hook. We pass 1 yellow rubber band through them and make a knot. Tighten well.We will also make the wings using magicrings. We cast on 6 loops with orange rubber bands. Weave 2 in each loop with pink rubber bands. Weave the last row with red rubber bands with an increase in every 2nd loop. We attach the wings, just like the beak. Only we do not fasten them with rubber bands inside, but tie them with a regular knot. This way the wings will hold more firmly and fit more tightly to the body. That is, we simply tie a knot from the rubber bands as when sewing. Now we need to fill the owlwith padding polyester. All we have left to do is sew the owl in the same way as usual, capturing the loops on both sides of the owl. The ears will form by themselves. This is how cute the owl turns out!
