A few examples of autumn crafts for children from pompoms, which can be done at home.
What do we associate autumn with? With harvesting, autumn preparations, mushrooms, beautiful leaves and a caring hedgehog with mushrooms, berries and leaves on his back. In our autumn crafts we will try to display the main characters of autumn. All our crafts are made of pompoms. Making them is not so difficult, but very interesting. From these autumn crafts you can make whole compositions. They can become a decoration of your interior or participate in the autumn crafts competition. Craft from pompoms. Miracle berries Materials and tools:
- Yarn of red and pink flowers (for strawberry)
- Yarn of crimson color (for raspberry)
- Yarn of green color
- Scissors
- Strong fine threads
- Needle
Making berries 1.To make a strawberry, use a pattern (outer circle diameter 6 cm, inner circle diameter 2 cm). Wind some pink yarn onto the pattern. Add red yarn and make the pompom “thick”. (The bottom of the strawberry is always a little paler. That’s why we needed pink yarn).2. Shake the finished pompom.Use scissors to shape it into a strawberry: narrow it a little at the bottom. 3. Wind some green yarn around your four fingers, then remove the yarn and tie it in the middle with the same thread. You've got a bow. 4. Straighten the bow as shown in the picture and sew it to the finished strawberry - this is the stalk.
5. Trim the stem threads.Strawberries have small seeds. Draw them with a black felt-tip pen. 6. To make a raspberry, use a template (outer circle diameter 4 cm, inner circle diameter 2 cm). Make a “thick” pompom from raspberry-colored yarn.
7.Make a stalk from green yarn using the same technique as the strawberry. Fluff up the finished berry. Advice You can make several of these raspberries and tie them to a branch, imitating a raspberry branch.
DIY Mushroom
- Materials and tools:
- Brown yarn
- Stationery Stapler
- Cream yarn (white) yarn
- Brown cardboard 8×8 cm
- Scissors
- Color pencils or markers
- Strong fine threads
- Needle
Making a mushroom 1. Wind brown yarn onto one half of the pattern (outer circle diameter 8 cm, inner circle diameter 2 cm), and cream (white) yarn onto the other half.
2.Shake the finished pompom and separate the brown yarn from the cream one. 3. Fold the cream (white) yarn into a bouquet and tie it at the bottom with a thread of the same color. You now have a mushroom stem. 4. Place the pattern of the cap support on the brown cardboard and cut it out.
5.Draw veins on the parts and make a slit as shown in the pattern (the diameter of the outer circle is 8 cm, the inner one is 2 cm). Then cut small teeth along the edge of the part. 6. Put the finished part on the stem under the cap. 7. Using a stapler, secure the slit of the part with a staple. The mushroom cap can be slightly "trimmed", giving it the desired shape.
Advice Mushrooms can do a lot and everythingdifferent! Some have a thicker stem, others have a larger cap, or lighter, or darker, etc. Use threads of different colors and patterns of different diameters. The size of the mushroom cap will depend on the size of the pattern!
Hedgehog. DIY craft Materials and tools:
- Semi-woolen yarn (preferably not "curly", but smooth) of gray color. You will make the front part of your hedgehog from it
- Grass yarn (or any other) of brown color
- Three black beads
- Scissors
- Strong fine threads
- Needle (which freely passes into the hole of the beads)
Making a hedgehog 1.Wind grey threads onto one half of the pattern (outer circle diameter 10 cm, inner circle diameter 2 cm). Wind brown grass-type threads onto the other half (see fig.).
2.Fasten the pompom as usual, then shake it out. Separate the gray yarn from the brown with your fingers. The brown yarn is the hedgehog’s needles. 3. To make the hedgehog’s face, fold half of the gray threads into a bunch and tie them (closer to the end) with a thread of the same color. You’ve got a cute face. Press it down slightly so that the hedgehog’s cheeks “puff out.” 4. Using a needle and thread, sew on the eyes at a distance of 1 cm from each other. To prevent the eyes from falling between the threads, you can sew them on together with small cardboard circles. 5. Sew a bead-nose onto the tip of the face. 6. There should be paws under the face. To do this, fold several threads to the right and left of the face into a bunch and tie them closer to the end with a thread of the same color. 7. The remaining gray threads are the lower part of the hedgehog. You can also tie it in a bouquet, but not closer to the edge, but in the middle (at the waist). Advice Help the hedgehog stock up on food: attach berries and mushrooms to his back. Surround him with pine cones, apples and create a whole autumn composition.
