Several lessons of weaving pendants and pendants from beads, rivoli and beads.
Pendants and lockets are some of the most ancient forms of jewelry.on the ground. In ancient times, they were not only decorative elements, they were amulets against evil forces or bringing good luck and happiness. Another role they played was to indicate status in society. Chiefs and shamans wore certain types of pendants, hunters, for example, attached them to their belts or put a cord around their necks with claws and fangs of animals they killed. And in Ancient Egypt, items with the owner's name or in the form of a scarab beetle, which was considered a symbol of eternal life by the Egyptians, were very popular. Over time, the ritual component fades into the background, and pendants become simply decoration and an indicator of status. The richer the owner was, the more precious metals and stones were in the pendant. Thanks to pendants, such jewelry as a necklace appeared, which is nothing more than a necklace with a prominent detail in the center. Over time, pendants migrated to belts and bunches of keys, and so keychains appeared. In this article we offer you to create very beautiful pendants and lockets from beads, crystals and beads of different formats with your own hands. Many color and texture solutions of beads will allow you to make a real masterpiece.You will need:
- Purple Rivoli 1,3х1,8 cm;
- Beads 10/0 of purple and silver color;
- Chain;
- Chain with rhinestones;
- Decorative pendants;
- Loop under the pendant;
- Abacus violet color 4x3 mm;
- A piece of felt;
- A piece of skin;
- Line or monofilament;
- Needle;
- Glue.
Glue the rivoli onto a piece of felt.It is better to take transparent glue. Now you need to weave three rows of mosaic weaving. For the first and third rows take purple beads, for the second - silver. The next circle - sew a chain with rhinestones around the weaving and make another row of purple.It is necessary to cut off the excess fabric and glue it toa piece of leather on the inside. Sew the edges with purple beads using the American weaving method: pierce the leather with a needle and bring it to the front side between the bead row and the fabric. String 2 purple beads and stick the needle into the fabric, bring it to the front side through the second bead. The bead "unfolds". Put on another purple bead, pierce the fabric base, etc. For additional richness and beauty, you can add small pendants to the pendant. For the side ones, take 1 abacus, 1 purple bead, 1 silver bead, purple again, and at the end, a metal pendant. For the central pendant, take 1 abacus, 1 purple bead, 1 silver, 1 purple, 1 abacus, 1 purple and 1 metal pendant. Attach a loop for the pendant in the middle. Now you need to weave the teeth using the Ndebele technique 1 row with purple beads, and secure with silver beads.
All that remains is to thread the chain through the attached loop and you can put it on.
You will need:
- Beads of white and blue colors;
- Blue Rivoli 1.8 cm;
- Blue bicones 6 mm;
- Loop for pendant;
- The lock;
- Scissors;
- A line and a needle for beads.
The first stage is weaving the rivoli. You need to string 42 white beads and close them in a circle. Weave with a mosaic.
Add another row of beads to the finished braid.dark blue. Weave the next three rows using the Ndebele technique, sewing them one to one. Do not sew the remaining rows. Ndebele pairs of petals 4-4-5-6-7-7-8 and mirrored 8-7-7-6-5-4-4. The next row consists of blue bicones. Pass the fishing line between the last beads of the petals. The last step is to string 7 white beads and pass the fishing line through the last bead in the Ndebele row. Attach a loop for the pendant.
For the lace you can use the Ndebele or Luba technique. Another one is up to you.
Here is a similar pendant in golden-green tones.
You will need:
- Black round rivoli;
- Beads Delica 10/0 of dark metallic color;
- Beads 10/0 silver and black (a little);
- Bicones of black and silver shades;
- A line and a needle for beads.
Start working from the central front partfuture pendant. String 28 beads, alternating silver round and metallic dark delica. The first bead should be silver. Close the row into a ring. Weave the second row with delica, threading the line through the silver beads of the first circle (mosaic weaving). Third row: the line comes out of the delica of the second circle. Put on 1 delica, 1 black bicone, 1 silver thread the line through the bicone and delica back. Tighten the line and thread it through the next delica of the 2nd row. Weave the entire circle in this way. The line comes out of the delica of the second circle. Put on 1 more delica, thread the line in a straight direction through the delica of the second circle, the adjacent silver bead and another delica. Put on 1 delica again and thread the line through three beads (metallic, silver and metallic again). Weave the entire circle. It turns out that this row has become additional at the level of the second row. Weave the next circle with delica in the mosaic technique, using the beads of the additional row. Next circle: the fishing line comes out of the delica of the previous row, put on 1 delica, 1 silver bicone, three silver beads, pass the fishing line back into the bicone and delica, pass the fishing line through the next delica of the previous row. Weave the entire circle. Now put the rivoli face down in the center of the weaving. Bring the fishing line out to the last circle. (In pictures 2 and 3 this is marked "b"). Weave the next two rows in the mosaic technique with silver beads. Now the rivoli is securely fixed in the braid. To weave a loop, weave with a mosaic in four beads from the row marked "b". Use both delica and regular black beads. Then fold the weave (approximately 12 - 15 beads in length) in half and attach to the beginning of the work.
