Painting on glass - it's painstaking and veryA difficult work, as a result of which ordinary glass is completely transformed, turning into an amazing work of art. According to experts, glass painting has been known to mankind since ancient times. This technique, like painting furniture, bottles is done with special paints and brushes. Paints can be purchased in a specialized department - they can be as matte or transparent, it is possible to use acrylic paints or special paints on glass - stained glass. As in any technique, you need to prepare a working surface to get started. The essence of the preparation of the glass surface is reduced to its cleaning from dirt and dust, as well as degreasing the surface. Then the contour of the drawing is already applied. It can be done with a standard marker for cd disks or a special marker for this purpose. If you are not completely confident in your artistic abilities, you can apply sketches for painting on the glass, which are on the Internet or in books, you can easily transfer using a carbon on the glass, applying it between the glass and the sketch itself. Next, draw the outline of the marker. After the contour has dried, you can startpainting by paints. If you find that the paint has thickened - it can be diluted with a special solvent. The main thing to remember is that for each color it is better to take individual brushes to avoid accidental mixing of colors. Paints are applied, therefore, so as not to go beyond the boundaries of the applied contour. After the complete drying of the stained-glass paints, the finished work can be fixed with a transparent glossy varnish (specialized for stained glass). Also, as in the technique of decoupage, there is the possibility of making the surface "strangely" - using aerosol varnish to create the effect of shabby old times. Special templates for painting on glass, are perfectly used by beginners. You can also use stencils, they are applied to the surface, drawn or transferred to the glass, after which they can be painted. All this makes the process easier and more precise, which has a positive effect on the result. Artistic stained glass and just painting on glass can be used on both colored and transparent glasses in the form of paintings and patterns. For painting, you can use absolutely any items of vials, vases, mirrors, bottles, etc.
Now it's very fashionable to use this technique in our apartments to decorate kitchen doors, interior doors, coupe cabinets doors.
Painting on glass - an exciting lesson, which is accessible to everyone. You can paint anything you like, from small things to bigger things, for example, you can paint the glass of the kitchen door. But today we will offer you a special master class on painting glass, namely a glass candlestick. Define what we need:
- Glass candlestick 1 pc.
- Paints for glass painting Contours on glass
- Paint to simulate glass matting
- Brushes (circular synthetics 0 or 1)
- For washing brushes - thinner № 2
- Auxiliary materials: double-sided scotch, sponge, cotton swabs, toothpicks, rag to soak the brush, etc.
So, we have all prepared for the painting on the glass,The practical part of our master class begins! First of all, it is necessary to degrease our glass surface, as well as with the technique of decoupage. This can be done with a means for removing varnish, alcohol, or simply rinse the workpiece with a dishwashing detergent. Then you can use the stencil or simply print the desired pattern and paste it on a double-sided tape. After this, cut it and gently stick it on the surface of the candlestick. To create the haze of the surface we usepaint for imitation matting - in our case this is a golden color. We apply using a conventional sponge. The paint should be applied evenly and quickly enough, due to the fact that it dries quickly. Next, let the paint dry completely, then remove the stencils. If you chose a paint that requires firing, we burn our product, which is what the instruction requires. After that let it cool down.
As a result of removing our stencil from the base,we were left empty places - in our case, maple leaves, we trace them with a gold-colored contour, but do not touch the veins on the leaves until we finish it. The resulting contours are filled with a red-yellow color. If you use one color, the effect will be less attractive. To begin with, we apply a lighter shade in the middle and further along the edges let out a dark one. And we get a smooth transition from light, to a darker color. If you accidentally smeared the paint on the wrong place, then gently wipe it with a cloth until it withered. In addition, if you started to paint some area outlined by the contour, you need not stop and finish it with a fill. Otherwise, the paint will have time to grasp, and the next portion of paint forms a marriage in the form of a line that you do not need.
The last thing to do is to circle the veins on the leaves! We really hope that the master class on glass painting will help you to prepare such a nice and cozy little thing! Have a nice work!
