It would be easy to think that amazing accuracy and accuracy of performing such complex drawings is achieved by laser cutting. But no ... not a single dry leaf of a tree could stand the laser, these masterpieces are completely handmade by the master Lorenzo Duran.

The idea of creating such masterpieces on natural material came to the master during the study of the centuries-old experience of cutting paper art in China, Japan, Germany and Switzerland. The symmetry of the patterns, their accuracy, accuracy and the likeness of laces are simply delicious, especially considering the absence of earlier tools and instruments. 
First Lorenzo experiments covered paper, and then he turned his gaze to a more natural and natural material - the foliage of the trees. 
All work on cutting, drying and framing wasdeveloped by the artist himself, after a lot of experiments and the slow improvement of the method. A lot of leaves got into the trash before the process was completed. Before proceeding to delicate cutting with a scalpel, Lorenzo chooses a suitable thickness sheet, washes, molds and dries it. 
The drawing is transferred to the sheet using tracing paper. The most difficult, according to the master, this is the final stage of the work, when you need to carefully remove the carved pieces from the body of the leaf.
