Article for those who wish to make a skirt for the girl with their own hands

How to make a skirt pattern for a Pettiskirt girl with your own hands. Photo №1In childhood, everyone has a dream and each one has their own.So my friend's daughter wanted a fashionable Pettiskirt skirt when she was 6 years old, which was first called that in Europe and then in Russia. Nowadays, everyone knows that this is a voluminous skirt in which every girl will look like a princess. This skirt is airy, comfortable and pleasant to the touch of the baby's body. We will make such a skirt with you now.We are constructing a pattern of a skirt for a girl. The length of the skirtits size is formed: below the knees, at the knee level or above them. And also the volume of material needed for sewing the skirt will be affected by the child's height. To make the yoke, we take satin fabric approximately 1.5 m. For the upper part, we take a piece of fabric with the parameters 70 * 9 cm, taking into account that the width of the material is not less than 1.5 m. For the upper part, 16.5 meters (11 cm wide) are needed! To make the frills, you will need a piece of fabric measuring 440 x 7 cm. To create the pattern, you will need 50 cm of elastic, 25 mm wide, a satin ribbon of the same width for a bow (100 cm) and a piece of interlining 1.22 x 0.1 m. Let's start sewing. 1. Cut out the frills using 7 cm wide cardboard strips. Roll them into rolls and divide them into two equal pieces. 2. Cut the layers using 9 and 11 cm wide cardboard. Roll up the rolls, divide each piece into two piles - for the bottom and top of the skirt.3.We will assemble the ruffles on the foot that organizes the tension of the thread from above, in the center of the strip. We will assemble the ruffles separately for the bottom and top of the skirts. The layers (not the skirts!) are organized into rings to avoid twists. The lines are made at the beginning and at the end.4.The frills are attached to the layer below, overlapping the edge, with the front side facing the seamstress and stitched with a straight line. The other layer is done in the same way. 5. Using the foot, gather the edge of the bottom layer, located opposite the edge with the frills, under tension. Then sew the bottom and top of the parts, with a 10 mm margin for making the seam. Cut the margin to 5 mm, and remove the threads that organize the material into folds. 6. The interlining must be divided into two strips and glued with a hot iron to the long sides of the satin flap. Trim the sides with scissors. This piece must be folded in half to get a piece measuring 19 by 61 cm. Mark the middle of the seam with chalk, measure 30 mm and put a risk. 7. Connect the rectangle into a ring, stitch the lines to the sides from the marks. This is the place for the elastic. We twist the yoke to the outside and fold it in half, inside out. The outside is on both sides! The fold is pressed down and pinned with needles. At a distance of 30 mm from the fold, a line is sewn in a circle. Then 25 mm are measured from it and the next line is made. 8. We connect the gathered side of the skirt with the outer glued edge of the yoke and bait and sew, then refine the edges. We repeat the same for the inner skirt. It is necessary to get two skirts, outer and inner, which are sewn with different edges of the yoke folded in half. We cut the satin ribbon in half. 9. We sew the halves with an elastic band in a zigzag, with a distance from each edge of 15 - 20 mm. We push the elastic through, and fold the edges together, sew them in a zigzag. As a result, we got a beautiful and fashionable Pettiskirt skirt!
