Basket with a lid woven from the newspapers to the contest Spring 2016, weaving from newspaper tubes

Who would have thought that newspapers could becomeexcellent material for creating durable containers that are almost as strong as those made from wicker. This basket is made from newspaper sticks, intertwined and glued together for strength.The top of the basket is painted with acrylic paint, decorated with decoupage and covered with matte varnish. It has been in use for about five years now - I store some tools and materials for handicrafts in it.I recommend everyone to try this technique - it's very exciting.
