Classic, black and white, large versiona beret and a small shawl will allow you to use the beret both as protection from the sun and as an evening dress. You can use the shawl to cover your shoulders from the sun or the evening coolness, use it as a pareo or come up with many other things. To make this set you will need: a 3.0 hook, 100 g of black and 400 g of white cotton threads 125 m / 50 g. The 4th, 8th, 12th, 16th, etc. rows of the beret and shawl are knitted with black threads, the rest - with white. It is important that the entire row is knitted with one color thread, and the broaches (no need to break the threads) are pulled along the instep line (the inside of the beret) or the edge of the fabric (shawl). Description of the beret: Knit the beret from a ring of 6 ch. Finish the flat bottom with the 10th row. Next, 7 rows of check marks (the flat part of the beret), then decrease to the head circumference and a dense band of the required height. Description of the shawl: The shawl is knitted from the middle of the long side. In each row, there are 3 places with increases: at the beginning of the row, in the middle of the row (corner) and at the end of the row. Knit the openwork middle of the shawl to the desired size. Alternate colors as in the beret. It may turn out that the row has ended on one side, and the ball of the desired color is on the other. In this case, remove the hook, thread the ball through the loop and leave the thread. Pull the thread of the color needed for knitting along the side of the shawl and knit a row from a convenient side. Two rows may be knitted in the same direction. The border of the shawl is dense, alternating rows of sc and sl sts. The lower corner of the shawl is round, this is provided by the increase pattern.
