Boiler house 8 sq.m., turned into a guest house
As proof that a cozy apartmentspace can be arranged in any room of any footage, studio Azevedo Design has turned a tiny brick extension into a quaint, but from this no less comfortable guest house. Initially, this small building housed a boiler room for laundry. Thanks to the technical progress and powerful washing machines, the need for both the boiler room and the laundry disappeared. The utility room with an area of only 8 square meters was used as a warehouse for different things. 
By order of the owner of the house, studio specialistsundertook to turn a non-residential tiny space into a separate guest house. For the beginning, it was decided to increase the space due to the superstructure of the second level. A small staircase leading upwards practically does not conceal the useful area, and the glass floor of the second floor allows natural light from the upper windows to freely penetrate downward.
At the lower level there is a small zonerecreation and a kitchen with everything you need. Inside and outside the main building without the superstructure, the original brickwork of 1916 was left, which sets the main theme of the interior. Dark metal parts, brown leather sofa, black carpet and chrome elements of the kitchen harmoniously correspond with the color and texture of the brick. To slightly soften the space, the ceiling, the table and the panels of the kitchen set are made in milky white. Also in the interior left the wooden beams that supported the roof.
A metal staircase leads to a smallThe entrance hall leads to a tiny bathroom. In the hallway there is a built-in wardrobe for things. The glass platform leads to a double bed, above which are bookshelves and lamps.
The interior of the sleeping area is made in light colors withusing wood, which makes the space soft and cozy. The windows in the wall and in the roof fill the room with sunlight during the day, and at night you can admire the starry sky.
