Perhaps one of the most popular typeshandicrafts is the creation of decorative items. Such creativity will not only allow you to relax and do your favorite thing, but will also help to create many decorations for any interior. A handicraft made with your own hands is always the best gift, a bright and memorable decoration, a favorite toy or a pleasant memory. A beaded tree can be such a gift or interior decoration. And such an interesting activity as beading can develop into a hobby that brings in additional income. If you have never done such creativity, do not be upset. After reading this article, you will see that in fact this activity is not as difficult as it may seem. Materials and tools for work Think in advance about how the tree will look. Find a diagram, photo, you can draw a sketch. Next, you need to choose beautiful combinations of bead shades. Try to at least approximately calculate how many materials you will need. Required materials for making a tree:
- thin wire;
- beads;
- a solid rod that will serve as the base of the trunk;
- nippers;
- base, stand. For these purposes, it is best to choose a container or some kind of vessel, you can choose a plastic bottle;
- gypsum (alabaster), PVA glue;
- It is possible to use other decorative elements in the form of small flowers, fruits, coins, sequins, soil, natural stones, etc.;
- In some situations, you may need fishing line, masking tape, floss, etc.
The simplest tree made of beadsThe technique of weaving trees from beads is best mastered with the simplest examples, and here is one of them:
You need to string 5 beads on the wire and twist them into a loop. On the same wire you need to make 9 such loops, the distance between them should be less than a centimeter.
Bend the workpiece so that the fifththe loop became the top, place the remaining leaves in pairs opposite each other. All the spaces between the loops need to be twisted into a spiral. In total, you need to make 25 such blanks.
Now let's start creating branches.Take one piece, step back from its bottom by about 1 cm and screw the base of the second piece to this place. Using similar actions, assemble 5 pieces into one branch and arrange all the branches accordingly.
Each of the resulting branches needs to be braidedwith floss threads. Do this very tightly so that the threads do not unravel. The ends of the threads are secured with a loop. Next, gather all the branches into a tree. Often, the wire used for weaving is not rigid enough and cannot hold the entire structure. In this case, you need to choose some kind of base - it can be a stick, a branch, or thick wire. When the trunk is formed, it should also be wrapped with floss threads. Keep in mind that at the root site, a hook must be made from a fairly rigid wire. It will allow you to secure the structure to the stand.
How to make a trunk To create a trunk androots, you can use sculptural material. Most often, it is created from a mixture of PVA and plaster in equal proportions. The consistency of the solution should resemble very thick sour cream. The mixture must be poured into a mold. While it dries, begin to form the roots, which will subsequently pass into the trunk. If you have decided to make a fairly voluminous trunk, and there is very little mixture left, you can use some tricks. Make a “dummy” out of paper or cotton wool, wrap it with masking tape, and then cover it with sculptural solution.The best way to add texture to the trunk is with a brush with very hard bristles.The trunk should be painted after the mixture has completely dried. The same applies to the varnish, there is no need to rush here.Beaded Tree Stand To Makestand for the tree, you can use a ready-made flower pot or a large stone to which the wire will be attached. Although you can try to make it yourself.The idea behind the stand is as follows:
Prepare a wide plastic or silicone mold. Place the plaster mixture in it.
Find a second mold that is narrower and press it inward so that the mixture rises up the sides.
After 10 minutes, remove the outer form. Then, using a knife, cut out or press in the base decor.
When the structure is completely dry, remove the inner form. Now you can install the base of the tree and fill it with solution. All that remains is to form the roots and trunk of the tree.
Making a birch tree from beads Birch -This is a rather symbolic tree, which signifies the transition from spring to summer. Check out this master class to easily create such a beautiful tree. To make a birch tree, you will need green beads to create leaves. Choose several shades so that the birch looks lively and bright. Also, wire of 3 mm, 1 mm and 0.3 mm thickness will be used in the work. Additionally, for winding you will need threads of any color, PVA glue, alabaster, acrylic paints and brushes. Creating foliage for a birch tree
Take a wire 0.3 mm thick, put it on7 beads and twist into a loop. It will be the central one. Immediately mix all the shades of green that you plan to use in the work, and take them randomly.
From the first loop you need to step back about 1 cm and make a second similar loop.
Make 6 more similar loops.To keep the central loop at the top, bend the wire as you go and twist its ends together. This way you should get a branch. Make 15 of them (with 9 loops). They will go to create the top. For the remaining branches, make 57 parts, but with 11 loops.
Formation of the crown of a birch tree
When all the branches are ready, they will need to beknit together. The parts with 9 loops need to be twisted together by 3, do the same with the parts that have 11 loops. As a result, you will get 5 branches for the top, as well as 19 - for the foliage.
To each of the 19 branches, you need to attach a 1 mm wide wire using thread.
Make three branches on one of the tops, and two on the other. This will create two pillars. Attach a 3 mm wide wire to the top.
After that, start tying it to the thick one.wire one branch at a time. The main trunk will require 3 small branches for the top and 12 large parts. To create an additional trunk, you will need 2 small and 7 regular parts.
Now join the two trunks so that the main trunk is slightly higher. Thicken the trunk with construction tape. Bend the ends of the thick wire and the birch is almost ready.
Birch stand
To create a stand, you can use a container of any circumference.
Place a plastic bag in the mold - this way the alabaster will not stick to the sides of the container. Place the birch tree inside and support it so that it is more stable.
Alabaster is diluted with water and PVA glue. For 2 tbsp. of alabaster you will need 1 tbsp. of water and PVA. Pour the mixture into the mold and leave for 10-12 hours to dry.
Painting the tree When the birch tree is almost ready, it needs to be given a little color. To do this, the tree needs to be painted a little.
Before painting the trunk, wrap the branches in plastic or foil to avoid getting them dirty.
Painting should begin with a mixture of alabaster andPVA glue. The same will need to be done with the branches. However, for them, the mixture should be prepared thinner, while for the trunk, the mixture should be thicker. Coat the product with a brush and leave it to dry for 12 hours.
Proceed to painting.First, paint the trunk with white paint in two layers, allowing each layer to dry thoroughly. As for the stand, it needs to be covered with a mixture of PVA and paint (brown or green).
After the white paint has dried, apply black paint. Use a softer brush for the branches and a harder one for the trunk.
When the product is completely dry, remove the foil from the branches and straighten them out, giving them a more natural look.
The beaded birch tree is ready.It turned out very beautiful. New Year's souvenir made of beads During the winter holidays, there is always a desire to create something magical with your own hands that can bring a New Year's mood to the atmosphere. Take note of this master class, and in the future you will not have problems with choosing holiday decor and New Year's souvenirs.First, prepare all the materials andtools. In addition to the materials and tools for beading, you will need a 0.5 l jar with a lid, a second lid (slightly smaller), beads that imitate pearls, cling film, a small lid (from a milk carton will do), white plasticine, satin ribbons of different widths (red and yellow), glycerin, boiled water and glitter. Manufacturing steps
First, take a wire the width of whichabout 0.3 mm. You will need about 70 cm. You need to string a 6 mm, 4 mm pearl imitation bead, a rice bead, and a gold-colored bead on it. Go in reverse order through the rice bead, 4 mm pearl bead, 6 mm. Next, you need to add 3 green beads, make sure that the ends of the wire are the same length. After that, string 4 beads on one end of the wire and go in reverse order through the first 3. This way you will be able to make the first branch. Next, you need to put 4 more beads on the same end and go back through 3. Repeat the same action with the second end of the wire. Now twist the ends together and put three beads on them. Next, you need to make the branches of the second tier of the Christmas tree. To do this, use the diagram in picture #3. In this case, you need to pass the wire as shown in diagram #4. Twist them together. After that, take a thicker wire, the length of which will be 15 cm. Bend it in half and twist, leaving one small loop. Through this loop, you need to pass all the ends of the wire from the already finished structure in different directions, tie them, flatten the loop and twist the ends of the thin wire around the thicker one. You can see an example in photo #2. Again, take the thin wire and start forming branches of 3-6 tiers in the amount indicated in the third diagram. Fasten the branches on the thick wire, between the tiers you need to retreat about half a centimeter. Cut off the remaining ends of the wire, leaving about 3 cm. After that, take a small lid, place the Christmas tree on it and distribute the ends of the wire in different directions. They need to be secured with plasticine and pearl-imitating beads glued on top. Now the tree needs to be decorated. To do this, you will need a beading needle. Thread the fishing line through it, string a pearl-shaped bead and a seed bead on it, and pass through the bead in the opposite direction. Next, look for the places on the tree that you like best and decorate them in the same way. The ends of the fishing line are tied in two knots and cut off. Decorate the tree and straighten out all the branches.
Now get busy making gifts fortree. To do this, take a beading needle, thread the fishing line through it and weave a square without interweaving according to the pattern shown in picture #7. After that, you need to weave another square, but with interweaving and connect them as shown in pattern #8. Weave another square with two interweavings, another - with three and the last - with four. When you connect the last squares, fill the toy with cling film. Weave the remaining fishing line into a cube and cut off all the protruding ends. Take a narrow red ribbon and tie the gift. Singe the ends with a match so that the ribbon does not unravel. Make the second gift in the same way.
Now take two caps of different sizes andglue the smaller one to the larger one with a Moment glue. After that, take a red ribbon 5 cm wide and glue it around the large lid to hide the structure. Glue the lower part of the ribbon to the outside of the lid. Additionally, cover everything else with red ribbons. You need to glue a Christmas tree, gifts and beads to the “podium” made of a small lid. Wait until it dries completely. Next, pour the glitter onto the bottom of the jar. After that, you need to make a mixture of glycerin and boiled water. Mix 1:1 to start, dip a few glitters into the liquid: if they fall too quickly, then there is not enough glycerin, and if too long - then you need to add water. When the liquid is ready, fill the jar with it. Keep in mind that you should not fill it to the end, because the Christmas tree will displace excess liquid. Apply glue to the inner wall of the lid and screw on the jar. Let the glue dry, then turn the souvenir upside down. For additional decoration, take a narrow yellow ribbon and tie it around the neck of the jar again. For a strong fixation, you can glue it. Now the New Year's souvenir is ready.
Elderberry from beads How can you not make such a beautiful and delicate bush with your own hands? Many white flowers against the background of large green leaves will be able to preserve the spring mood for a long time.For work you will need green beads andwhite, all kinds of white beads in the shape of flowers and stars, wire for weaving of different colors, its recommended width is 0.2-0.3 mm, wire of any color about 2-3 mm or metal rods that are needed to make the trunk, a vessel for the base, plaster or cement, brown paint (varnish), small decorative stones.
First, take a wire of green orbrown and cut it into pieces of about 50-60 cm. From them you need to make 50 leaves, using green beads. To create such details, use the diagram below.
After that, take white or silverwire and cut it into 40-50 cm pieces. String 5-7 white beads onto the piece, place them in the center of the wire and twist the loop. Step back about 1 cm from it and put flower-shaped beads on them, twist the ends together. In this way, you need to make lush white flower branches.
Now make small bouquets of green leaf twigs and white flowers. Twist the ends of the wire together well.
And now you have come to the final stage -All the bouquets need to be collected into one tree. To make the trunk, use thick wire or metal rods. Keep in mind that the roots need to be large and stable. Now take gypsum or cement, dilute them as indicated on the package. Pour a small amount of the mixture into the base vessel, plant the tree and wait until the gypsum dries a little, holding the tree. When the tree becomes stable, fill the vessel with the mixture to the end. Leave it overnight to dry completely. In the morning, start decorating the trunk and large branches with gypsum. Paint them brown, if necessary, you can varnish. At the end, decorate the stand with pebbles. Creating Albizia Try making such a beautiful and fluffy tree as albizia from beads. The tassels of this plant burn with a bright flame and can enliven the home interior, giving it freshness. The creation of the tree begins with bright brushes.Create them according to the pattern presented above - the upper central picture. String 1 red bead on the wire and place it in the center, string 3 red beads on each side of it, then 3 pink beads and finally 3 yellow beads. To make the bunch more voluminous, repeat a similar branch again. Make 60 bunches of 7 beads. Then move on to creating green foliage according to the pattern presented above. Weaving begins from the tip with five green beads. Gradually increase their number. Make two on both sides with 7 beads, then 9 and 11. After that, reduce the number of beads: first 9, then 7 pieces. The branch is ready, make about 50-60 of them. Now it remains to assemble the tree. Assembly begins from the end of the branches. Take a thick wire and attach bunches of flowers to it, as well as leaves at a distance of 1.5 cm, 2 cm and 3 cm. The entire branch must be carefully wrapped with copper wire. Make 5-6 large branches and connect them together into a massive trunk. Wrap everything with wire. Form a stand from the ends of the thick wire, place the tree in a pot and sprinkle it with decorative stones (you can fill it with gypsum for strength). The base can be decorated with moss on top and Albizia is ready.
