Box for rings with their own hands
How and where do you usually store your rings?I keep them in a small box in bulk. When there are few rings, it is easy to choose the right one, but when there are a lot of them? Of course, there are special stands for rings, but today I offer a master class on how to make a convenient box from any box or drawer, in which all the rings will be like on display. We will not make the box itself, but its filling.So, for this work you will need:
- decorative box (carton box, box, preferably with a lid;
- beautiful velvety fabric (velor);
- batting (dense felt);
- pins, needle and thread (sewing machine);
- Glue gun;
- scissors.
The amount of fabric depends on the size of the box and the rolls that will fit in it.
Casket for the rings with your own hands: work progress
⇒ Step 1.Fold the batting in half and cut into strips the width of your box + 0.5 cm. Estimate how many rolls of batting you will need and what diameter. The idea is that the rolls should fit tightly in the container, completely filling it both in length and width. Based on this, roll the batting, securing the rolls with a pin, and try them on in the box.⇒ Step 2.Take the fabric and cut strips to the size of the rolls with an allowance of 2 cm in length and width. Fold the fabric in half with the right sides together and pin. Check if you can put this cover on the roll. If everything is correct, stitch the cover along the length (or sew by hand). ⇒ Step 3. Turn the cover right side out and place it on the batting rolls.⇒ Step 4: Use fabric glue or hand stitch to close the edges of the roll. The edges will not be visible in the box.⇒ Step 5. Place the finished rolls tightly in the box and enjoy!
Work Options
In fact, you can simplify the process a lot,simply roll up rolls of thick felt, fabric or even soft terry towels, secure them with a thread so they don't fall apart, put them in a box and don't waste time sewing covers. Everything depends on the materials, free time and desire!
