Building a pattern of a dress-sundress with cuts will not be difficult, if you follow the description

Construction of a sundress dress pattern with undercutsis not particularly different from the similar process of other styles of this item of clothing. Every seamstress, even a beginner, can easily handle it if she carefully reads the detailed description of the work. The main thing – Correctly measure the proportions of the figure and correctly make all the necessary marks. The sundress has been known to every woman since time immemorial. In Russia, it was the everyday wear of every girl, girl and woman for quite a long time. Of course, today this style of dress is not limited to one model. There are a huge number of them, differing in length, use of fabric, thickness of straps or lack thereof, individual details, and so on. As an example, you can see some models in the photo below.Building a pattern of dress-sarafan with undercut. Photo №1 Building a pattern of dress-sarafan with undercut. Photo # 2The sundress is especially relevant in the summer season, but, nevertheless, some models are ideal for wearing them at any other time, even in winter. It all depends on the model and fabric with which it is sewn. Sewing such a dress with your own hands is absolutely not difficult. You just need to decide on a model that will ideally suit your figure and cut it out correctly using your exact measurements. Today we will look at how to make a pattern for a sundress dress with undercuts. Creating a pattern for a sundress dress with undercuts, by and large, is not a very labor-intensive process and does not differ much from patterns for products of the same style. The main thing is to take the measurements correctly and accurately transfer them to paper. For this we need a large sheet. Let us note right away that you have the right to choose any length of the product. Therefore, there are no restrictions here. It is important to remember that initially we make a pattern for the base and only then transfer all the details onto it. By the way, the base pattern is the foundation for any dress style.Building a pattern of dress-sarafan with undercut. Photo №5 Building a pattern of dress-sarafan with undercut. Photo №6For the pattern of the back and front of the base it is necessarydraw lines of this style. Back (see figure 4a). Starting from the neckline, its lowest point, to the middle of the back, take 10 centimeters. From the top of the neck to the right along the shoulder we take 4 centimeters. Down from point 4 we take 8 centimeters. Now we need to connect two points, 8 and 10. The shaded points (as in the photo) need to be cut off. In front (see Figure 4b). In the middle of the front pattern, downward from the neckline, the bottom point, take 13 centimeters. From the top of the neck to the left along the shoulder we take 2 centimeters and from point two we put 15 centimeters down. Down (groove line) we take 17 centimeters. We connect all the points, 13, 15 and 17, with each other. Again, the areas highlighted by the stroke (with the exception of the end of the dart on the chest) need to be cut off. Now we make the necessary undercut from mark 17 to the end of the groove. Important. At the time of sewing, the dart lines are superimposed one on one to obtain a protrusion according to the style along the collar line of the product. The pattern of a sundress dress with undercuts is ready. Now we transfer it to the selected material (see Figure 4c, 4d). You need to spread the image onto material folded lengthwise. The middle part of the front and back should be exactly on the fold of our material. During cutting, be sure to make the necessary allowances for future seams. On the sides – three centimeters, the bottom of the sundress – five – six centimeters, for the neck – one centimeter, shoulders – 2 centimeters, for the armhole – one and a half centimeters. All that remains is to sew the details and the outfit is ready.
