Bunnies of wool: different ideas for felting woolly animals / Toys with their own hands, patterns, video, MK

Regardless of how long ago you mastered the miraculousart of felting, or just beginning to comprehend its basics, you will definitely be able to make a fluffy funny bunny. In the first case, the new craft will replenish your collection of designer toys, and in the second, it will become the first swallow for inspiration for new masterpieces.

Where to begin?

First, come up with an image of the future bunny -what will it be like, how do you want it to be – big, small, sleeping? Perhaps it should look like a cartoon or fairy tale character, say, the rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, or it will just be a cute little bunny – it’s up to you. Try drawing an image of the desired craft to make it easier for you to work. Necessary materials and tools:

  • wool for felting (as a rule, bunnies arewhite or gray, but you can not limit yourself to canonical colors and make the hare absolutely fabulous. Consider that you will need a wool of several colors - for the design of the ears, paws, muzzle of the animal);
  • Needles for felting of different thicknesses and sponge;
  • Threads and needles (conventional), scissors;
  • Eyes for a bunny or a bead that will play their part;
  • accessories and decor - optional.

As you work, you will be guided bywhich image you have chosen for your craft. If you want to make a simple flat toy that can be used as a pendant or even a Christmas tree decoration, then felting such toys always starts with a circle. This will be the bunny's face, to which you will also need to felt the ears, shape the cheeks and sew on the eyes and nose (you can also felt them). Such a bunny can be decorated with a ribbon or a bow and attach a small loop to it. The work will be a little more difficult if you want to make a three-dimensional hare. Then you will need to felt all the parts separately and connect them by felting them together and securing them with a thread. But the white rabbit from Carroll's fairy tale can be made on a frame to give it greater mobility and liveliness. For the frame, use wire and white plastic. Of course, such a character will definitely need clothes and accessories - sew the rabbit a camisole with lace and an elegant vest with a jabot, and give him a watch on a chain. Such crafts will be great gifts or stylish decorations for your home.
