Carpet Magnificent crochet. The work of Xenia

Acquainted with the work of PatriciaKristoffersen, like many other needlewomen, could not remain indifferent to him. I would very much like to know about Patricia herself, but, to the greatest regret, the Internet is full of only her schemes. My choice fell on a very popular "Splendid", i.e. "Magnificent." On its basis knit no less popular carpets (namely on the basis, with additions and processing). To begin with, I practiced on the usual cotton thread, tied the napkin in the original scheme, then decided to create a carpet. For carpets use a polyester cord withcore diameter of 5 mm (cord braided, synthetic, melts well, I found out about it when fixing the threads :) Despite the composition, carpets from such a cord look like a natural thread. Hook used number 6. In diameter, my carpet was 95 cm, by weight, about 1.5-2 kg. By the distance it took about 600 m (left a small skein). I bought a cord with coils of 200 m, i.е. 3 skeins. The color chose Milk. The carpet was voluminous, embossed, pleasant to the touch. By the time it took 4 pm, but many write that they cope for 2 :) The original scheme of the needlewoman is taken as a basis, but knit more often with the following changes: the initial ring on the diagram consists of 6 air loops; in practice, 8 air loops are knit (the thickness of the cord does not allow connecting the second row from the ring to 6 loops); Instead of the 11th row (a row of columns with crochets), a row of columns without a crochet are knit; with the pillars without the crochet, variations are possible - you can knit them traditionally, for both the walls of the loops of the previous row, but only behind the back (I knitted just behind the rear walls, so, in my opinion, the carpet looks more bold); 14 series - the relief purl columns on the original scheme are knitted with two crochets and are arranged in a straight line, more often one can find the same row in the execution of relief purl strings with three capes, while the base of the column with respect to its vertex is displaced to 3 or 4 columns without nakida; the last row - on the original scheme, each semicircle is framed by a pico of 3 air loops, most often you can meet a semicircle with a central pico of 5 air loops. I apply the scheme of the carpet and knitting of the basic elements :) I hope it will come in handy or help someone :) The carpet turns out to be very gentle, it will be good for a bedroom or a children's room.
