Carpets Gan Rugs: knitted, three-dimensional and two-sided
GAN Rugs is an extensive collection of carpetsexclusively handmade, presented in many collections of famous designers such as José A. Gandía, Marc Krusin and Odosdesign. The Gan brand is part of the Spanish company Gandía Blasco, which was founded back in 1941 and specialized in the production of home textiles. The company launched the release of unique carpets in the 1980s and achieved outstanding success. The factory is Spanish, but every carpet is made inIndia only from natural materials and by the old technology of the so-called manual tufting. With this method, the twisted thread is stuffed onto a woven or non-woven base using a special gun. The stuffed pile on the back is fixed with latex and covered with a lining.
At an intermediate stage, the surface of the carpetrepresents a large number of loops. If the pile loops cut or cut, then you get a fluffy carpet, if not cut - then the carpet will be looped. Thanks to the combination of two techniques of nap and loop, a combination of density and height of the pile, special haircuts and melange of colors, an interesting volumetric pattern and an unusual relief are formed on the carpet.
Recognized as a highlight of the GAN Rug collectiona series of Mangas carpets, designed by Patrisia Urkiola. In Spanish, the name means "sleeves". Whence such name - at once becomes clear at the first sight on carpets which very much remind sleeves of sweaters connected by the grandmother for grandchildren: characteristic striped drawing, alternation of different types of loops, cuffs-elastic.
One sleeve-sleeve can simultaneously play the role of wall and floor. And in support of this knitted style the designer created suitable pouffes with the same viscous and forms.
Another innovation was the universaldouble-sided carpets Arabeska. Bright juicy colors, geometric and floral ornaments, asymmetric finish at the ends already in themselves attract the eye. And the possibility of carpet in one fell swoop to change the interior of the apartment, simply showing its other side makes it universal for any room.
