Hello, dear needlewomen!I understand perfectly well that a blanket with a "Granny Square" motif is far from new, but let me show you a blanket knitted for my baby. I knitted the blanket for when we were discharged (we were born in the summer), but I didn't have time to finish it (the baby decided to be born a little earlier), so the binding on my blanket is not so elegant. This blanket has been serving us every day for almost three months now, in the summer we walked with it when the weather was cool, and now we cover ourselves at home during naps. In general, the blanket is for all occasions, and my son and I really like it. I chose Vita Sunny yarn for knitting it 50% cotton, 50% acrylic (50 g - 150 m). The yarn is voluminous and very soft, I fell in love with it. Hook #3. For a blanket 80x80 cm I used 4 skeins of white and blue yarn, and 1 skein of white yarn for edging. I knitted 100 motifs (50 with a white center and 50 with a blue center), each motif turned out to be 8x8 cm, and sewed them together. The pattern is "Granny square".
