When was the first scarf born and who was it?The author of this accessory is unknown. The first evidence of the appearance of the ancestors of scarves dates back to Ancient China. At the end of the 20th century, a group of archaeologists discovered several thousand terracotta warriors in the burial of one Chinese emperor. They were life-size and had scarves tied in a knot on their necks. The ancestors of the warm winter scarf came from Ancient Rome. Warriors tied scarves or kerchiefs around their necks during a military campaign in the cold lands of Germany and Gaul. The military leaders not only saved themselves from the cold, but also a red ball with gold tassels served as a sign of distinction. The conquest of Europe began with the scarf in the middle of the 17th century. After the collapse of the Roman Empire, the Romanian tribes inherited a scarf tied around the neck, then this tradition was adopted by the Croatian tribes. At a reception in honor of the defeat of the Turkish troops, the King of France Louis XIV was delighted with the scarves on the necks of Croatian warriors and introduced the new accessory into fashion at court. In Russia, like many other things, the scarf came along with the innovation of Peter I. Its popularity sometimes soared, sometimes the scarf was completely forgotten. The materials and ways of wearing changed. Now a scarf is not only protection from cold weather and piercing wind. In the collections of all leading couturiers and great fashion houses, a scarf is sure to be found as a beautiful accessory. Scarf from motifs in the continuous knitting techniqueThe patterns of the motifs from which this scarf is knitted areresemble flowers, stars and snowflakes. Such an accessory can be a great option for a New Year's outfit. The peculiarity of this wonderful scarf is that the motifs are knitted not separately, but as a single piece. The diagram shows in detail how to knit without breaking the thread. If you want a more lacy version, just make chains of ch, connecting the motifs more. On the diagram, they are marked in blue.Knitting happens like this:knit 3 rows of the first motif completely, then knit part of the fourth row (all this is marked in gray), then knit a chain of 27 ch (it is blue) and proceed to knitting the second motif. That is, without tearing the thread, we collect 8 ch into a ring and knit from the 1st to the 3rd rows completely, securing the ch of the connecting chain instead of the corresponding loops in each row. Again, knit part of the 4th row (they are also marked in gray). Again, collect a chain of 27 ch and knit the third motif, this time completely. The last loop will be a slip stitch, which is knitted into the loop of the connecting chain. Then you knit 3 ss or 3 ch, or 3 sc and begin to knit the 4th row of the second motif (it is marked in pink on the diagram). In the process of knitting, do not forget to fasten the second motif to the third one using the loops of the arches from the VP. Knit further, following the diagram. It is clear from it that you do not knit the 4th row of the first motif to the end, but proceed to knitting the second row of motifs. Scarf of unusual texture with lush columnsThis scarf is good to knit from thick and softyarn. Thanks to the original pattern, the product looks equally advantageous both from plain and sectional dyed yarn. Knitting a lush column is very easy. We start knitting as a regular column with a yarn (or with any number of yarns). We throw the working loop on the hook (according to the number of yarns in the diagram, we have 2), insert it into the base and pull out the loop. Do not knit. We make yarns again and pull out the loop from the same base loop. Repeat 6 more times. Then we pull 1 loop through all but the first. There are 2 loops on the hook, now we knit them into one. The knitting pattern for the scarf is very simple. Those who want a denser version can simply reduce the number of air loops.
