Scheme of knitting a scarf-yoke with knitting needles. Detailed description with photo for experienced needlewomen
The scarf-collar was previously used to givevolume of hair and only in the last century its functions changed. It became a headdress. A scarf is an indispensable accessory on cool days and not only. Openwork scarves decorate summer outfits, but for the cold months of autumn and winter, knitted snood scarves are well suited. These scarves can be voluminous and, conversely,close-fitting. Such a scarf can be worn both on the shoulders and, if necessary, it can be put on the head. The most important thing for creating a snood scarf is to choose the right pattern for the desired design. Thanks to the pattern, the snood will take on an original look that will suit any clothing. Each time, the patterns for scarves change according to fashion, but a scarf such as a snood is always in demand, both among young people and women of "Balzac" age. You can choose different patterns, the main thing is that the snood is the same on all sides.
You can just knit it without a pattern, like this scarfalso looks nice. Usually natural threads (wool, cotton, silk) are used to create it, but for durability and better wear it is worth adding artificial thread (acrylic, polyester and others). Circular knitting needles are usually used, since this model of scarf is knitted in a circle. If you urgently need a new scarf, a snood is well suited for this, it is knitted quite simply and quickly.
Beginner knitters should start with a modelwithout patterns, and for more experienced knitting enthusiasts we offer the following model of a snood scarf. To create it we will need: 500 grams of woolen threads, any color (to your taste and choice), stocking and circular knitting needles No. 7, for decoration you can take a hook No. 6. We cast on 126 loops on circular knitting needles and close them into a ring, distributing nine loops on a garter stitch, 33 loops on a pattern with braids and another nine loops on a garter stitch and 33 loops on a pattern. So we continue knitting until the fourteenth row. In the fourteenth row (in garter stitch) we knit the fifth and sixth loops together purlwise, so the loops will decrease to 123 pieces. Now we continue knitting up to 108, 112, 116, 118 rows, there, in garter stitch we repeat the procedure. The loops have been reduced to 108 pieces. The loops should be closed on row 120.
The snood scarf is ready, for beauty it can be crocheted: one row with a single crochet, and the second with a crab step. Also, such snoods can be decorated with beads, rhinestones, ribbons and other attributes.
