During the renovation of the apartment, the design of whichthe studio was engaged in, all the old pipes, plumbing and radiators were replaced. One of them continued to "live" in the apartment, only this time in the form of a hand-made table. The radiator was left in the same condition in which it was removed from the wall, with chipped paint and other traces of time. A sheet of tempered glass with rounded edges serves as a tabletop. Unfortunately, it is unclear how the glass was attached to the radiator, since there are no traces of glue or other fasteners visible. It is more likely that the sheet is simply lying on the radiator. The table is mobile thanks to wheels, relatively large in diameter for furniture. This is quite justified, since the radiator weighs more than 80 kg! Even with the help of wheels, such a monumental piece of furniture will not be easy to move.
You can argue for a long time about functionality andthe feasibility of using a radiator for a coffee table, but one thing is certain - such a piece of furniture in the interior looks very unusual and original. Perhaps it does not immediately attract attention, but when you understand how and from what the table is made, you want to look at it, touch it and certainly drink delicious coffee from vintage cups at it!
