Colored parquet from wall to wall
This elegant patterned parquet floor was inspired bypatterns of woven fabric. It consists of hand-painted oak parquet boards laid in a herringbone pattern to create a unique floor that stands out from the rest.
The project was named Wall-to-Wall.up to the wall) and was created by the design studio Alkalay & Mer for Established & Sons. The studio developed the traditional floor finish further by painting the parquet board in 15 bright, rich colors. The structure of the parquet flooring resembles a dense knitted fabric. Developing further the concept of a textile carpet as a floor covering, the designers decided to combine two ordinary surfaces to create a visually dynamic finish reminiscent of traditional textile models.
