Colored parquet from wall to wall
This elegant patterned parquet floor was inspired byOrnaments of woven cloth. It consists of hand-painted parquet oak plank laid with herringbone in such a way as to create a unique floor, different from all. The project was named Wall-to-Wall (from wall toWalls) and was created by the design studio Alkalay & Mer for Established & Sons. The studio further developed the traditional floor finish by painting the parquet board in 15 bright, juicy colors. The structure of the parquet flooring resembles a dense knitted fabric. Further developing the concept of a textile carpet as a floor covering, the designers decided to combine two conventional surfaces to create visually dynamic finishes reminiscent of traditional textile models.
