We will need: for a medium-length scarf - 400-500 g of yarn (of course, wool is better, but this already depends on your capabilities and preferences) of each of two colors, in our case these are white and beige; knitting needles number 3.5-4 (depending on the thickness of the thread). The size of the finished product will be 20x150 cm. Knitting sequence:Using two threads one by one, cast on 66 stitches onto the knitting needles.loops. We will get 33 brown loops and 33 white ones. We will have twice as many loops, each of which will consist of one dark and one light thread. It is necessary to make an effort to arrange the threads alternately. The edge loops will be the last ones collected from two threads. They must be knitted only with a double thread, alternating the following order: front loops in the first row, back loops - in the next row. Next, we count the knitting order in such a way that the first loop after the edge is the first loop of the front side, and we always knit it with a front loop. The second loop is always knitted with a back loop and is considered the first loop of the back side. We continue knitting, alternating the process of knitting loops in the above-described order.Next, knit the front loop as follows:two threads lie on the left hand (index finger) with it the first loop after the edge, the loop of the front side - a light thread with a front loop, while carefully grabbing the dark thread. As a result, we will have a light thread behind the knitted loop. Dark loop (second from the edge) or our first loop from the back side. We hold the dark and light thread in front of the knitting needle, as when knitting a normal purl loop, knit it, but with the knitting needle we pick up only the light thread. As a result, we will have a dark thread in front of the knitted loop. We continue knitting to the end of the row, alternating between purl and front loops. After the end of the row, we turn the work and the light loops will be front loops, and we now knit the purl loops with a dark thread.Having knitted several rows in this way, we havethere will be a two-layer fabric consisting of two colors. The assembled model will be held together thanks to the edge loops. We knit the pattern according to the scheme, starting from the place on the scarf fabric where you want it.
