Crafts for the New Year 2016 for the 2015 Competition, handmade crafts from their own hands

In the fast-paced everyday life, December's dreams fly awaycalendar sheets. New Year is just around the corner and preparations for it are in full swing. New Year is mysterious and magical, so it is no coincidence that this holiday is the most beloved, especially for children. Letters from Santa Claus, decorating the Christmas tree, long-awaited gifts under it - this cannot be compared even with a birthday. There is a festive mood in the air and anticipation of a miracle. New Year is a special time when adults and children unite in a single impulse.Competition for the best New Year's craft made us make an unusual monkey - a symbol of 2016. Photo number 1This year our city is hosting an exhibition-Competition "Winter's Tale". Our pupils, their parents and, of course, the teachers of our preschool actively participated in this creative process. The purpose of the exhibition: to attract the attention of teachers and children to issues of environmental education and nature conservation. Nominations: "Symbol of the Year" - a toy using the symbols of the coming year; "Winter's Tale" - flat or volumetric plot-thematic compositions; "Author's Works of Teachers" - "Portrait of the Snow Maiden" - flat works and framed. I decided to take part in two nominations: as a teacher and as a grandmother. I made "Portrait of the Snow Maiden" using the end-grain method, and "Symbol of the Year" - a monkey - using the quilling technique. Here's what I got. "Portrait of the Snow Maiden" is made using the "Torcevanie" technique on double-sided tape using colored paper napkins. Let me remind you that "Torcevanie" is a type of paper construction - the art of paper rolling, in which three-dimensional terry compositions are created by gluing twisted pieces of paper or tubes or end pieces onto a template or base: paintings, panels, mosaics, postcards. For work we will need: Frame; Pattern-template; Double-sided tape; Multi-colored napkins; Scissors; Marker; A simple pencil with an eraser on the end. I copied the drawing, outlined it with a marker so that the drawing could be clearly seen for subsequent work: I carefully sealed the entire surface inside the frame with double-sided tape, the drawing is even visible this way: Then I started working on the napkins: I cut them into 2x2 squares; Then I took a pencil and started working with pieces of napkins. I wrap each square in a circular motion around the pencil and glue it. Why is a pencil with an eraser on the end better? The eraser presses the napkin more gently to the tape and additionally the tape to the base. And a tip: what colors of napkins, where you will glue - decide in advance: I start trimming: The work is ready. Tip: you can "comb" the finished work with a toothbrush.
