It will turn even a regular braid or hair tied in a ponytail into an original hairstyle. Such a flower can also be used not only as a hair clip or elastic band, but also to decorate a dress, blouse, booties, headband, handbag, which will give an even more attractive, irresistible and bright look to the outfit. In this master class, I will describe step by step a crocheted flower with a satin ribbon on an elastic band, which will be understandable for both beginners and experienced craftswomen.
To knit a flower we will need:white and purple yarn (100% cotton), hook No. 1.5 (depending on the thickness of the thread), narrow and wide purple satin ribbon, bead or large rhinestone (beads are possible), thread with a needle, white elastic band for hair. 1. In order to knit a flower, we collect six air loops and close it into a chain using a connecting loop. We get a ring. In its center, we knit 6 double crochets, dividing them with 3 air loops. Three lifting loops replace a double crochet.
3. Then in each arch we cast on a dc, 5 times dc2 and again dc and close the row with a chain stitch, so we knit all six "petals" in a circle. We get the top row of the flower.
4.The second row of our flower is knitted as in the first row, only we make a chain of 7 air loops, connecting with sc, getting 6 chains in a circle. If you want a larger flower, you can add air loops at your discretion.
5. Knit the middle row of "petals" starting from the first arch. Cast on dc, 5 dc, dc and connect and so on in a circle all 6 petals.
6.The last bottom row is knitted according to the example of the second and first rows. We collect a chain of 9 air loops and connect st. sc, clinging with a hook to the second row of the petal, after which we collect air loops of the remaining 5 arches. In total, there should be 6 petals.
The next stage of our work will be tyingeach "petal" of the flower with purple yarn, sc all 3 rows starting from the upper petals. Then we take a thin satin ribbon 1 cm wide and about 20 cm long, fold three air loops from it, closing in the center, and sew it on top into the middle of our flower.
On top of the flower, sew a bead or a large rhinestone onto a thin ribbon for decoration; you can decorate it with beads, as far as your imagination allows.
In the same way, we fold three loops from a wide satin ribbon and sew them to the flower from below to the 3rd row of petals.
At the final stage of our work, we sew a white elastic band to the flower.
This kind of beauty can happen to you, and maybe even better.
Satin ribbons and flower edging can be used in any colors for a certain outfit, and instead of an elastic band, glue a hair clip or a hairpin. This concludes the master class.
