The symbol of the coming 2016 is the monkey. And the needlewomen of the whole world since the fall (and even earlier!) Are preparing cozy handmade gifts for their friends and acquaintances. And, of course, children! And what could be better for a child than a new toy? Just go and explain it to parents who have the lion’s share of the place in the house they are toys. But the miniature mistress of the upcoming year everyone will be happy - both parents and kids. And hook it up for a couple of evenings. So, we bring to your attention crochetedmonkey with diagrams, detailed description and step by step photos - as knitting parts, and assembly. The size of the finished toy (under other conditions) is 12 cm. But, of course, you can choose a yarn and a thicker hook to get a monkey bigger.
To crochet a monkey, I took:
YarnArt Violet yarn in two contrasting colors;hook 0.95 mm; silicone filler (choose any one - sintepon, holofiber - to your taste); floss for embroidery peephole and nose; a needle and a sewing thread of matching flowers for assembling a monkey.
Crochet Knitted Monkey: full job description
Head Head knitting start with the light part. Light yarn. 1 row. Amigurumi ring tied with 8 columns without nakida. Tighten the ring. 2 row. We knit 2 columns without crochet into each loop of the previous row. Row - 16 loops. 3 row. 1 column without nakid, 2 columns without nakid in one loop of the previous row, 1 column with quilt, 2 columns without nakid, 1 column with nakid, 2 columns without nakid in one loop of the previous row, column without nakid (see diagram above). 4 row. 1 air loop; knitting unfold. 3 crochet, 4 crochets, 1 crochet, 3 crochets, 1 air loop Knit deploy. 5 row. We tie up the entire detail with single crochets; the row is closed with a blind loop. This row comprised 24 loops. The thread is cut and fastened. We take the thread in a contrasting color. Dark yarn. 6 row. We determine the center of the lower part and start to knit from it with a contrast thread with a single crochet. Knit 1 pillar in one loop of the previous row. Having reached the center of the upper part of the muzzle, we knit 3 columns without a single crochet, introducing a hook 2 rows down into the same point (see diagram). This series was 25 loops. We continue to knit brown thread. 7 row. In each fifth loop we knit 2 columns with no crochet. The number was 30 loops. 8 row. We make an increase (i.e., we knit 2 columns without single crochet in one loop of the previous row) in each 6th loop. The number was 35 loops. 9 row. In every seventh loop we knit 2 columns without single crochet into one loop of the previous row. The number was 40 loops. 10-12 rows. Knit with single crochets without increments and reductions. All rows - 40 loops each. 13 row. We continue to knit with single crochets, cutting every eighth loop. The number was 35 loops. 14 row. Cut every seventh loop. The number was 30 loops. 15 row. Cut every sixth loop. The row made 25 loops. If you plan to make a monkey keychain, right now is the time to insert a loop from the inside. At this stage we fill the head with filler. 16 row. Cut every fifth loop. The number was 20 loops. 17 and following rows. Cut every third loop until the hole is closed. The thread is fastened, cut, the tail is tucked inside. Muzzle (convex part of the head) 1 row. Amigurumi ring tied with 8 columns without nakida. Tighten the ring. 2 row. We knit 2 columns without crochet into each loop of the previous row. We get 16 loops. 3 row. 2 single crochet, 1 air loop. Expand knitting. 12 single crochets, 1 air loop. Knit deploy. 4 row. 16 single crochets (full circle around the part), close the row with a connecting post. The muzzle is ready. Ears Ears consist of two parts, light and dark, which are then not stitched, but bound together. Light part: 1 row. 6 non-crocheted posts around amigurumi ring. Close the row of deaf loop. 2 row. 2 columns without crochet per loop of the previous row. The row was 12 loops. Close the row of deaf loop, fasten and trim the thread. The dark part. 1, 2 row - like the light part, but the thread is not cut. We put the wrong side of the light anddark mug. We continue to knit with a dark thread a row of columns without a crochet without increases and decreases, grasping the extreme thread of the columns of the previous row of the light part of the ear. The row was 12 loops. Fasten, cut and thread the thread inside, between the light and dark parts. The ear is quite dense, but plastic, it can be given the desired shape. Torso 1 row. 10 single crochet posts around amigurumi ring. 2 row. 2 columns without crochet per loop of the previous row. Row - 20 loops. 3-4 row. We knit with columns without nakida without increments. Rows - 20 loops each. 5 row. Make an increase in each second loop (tying 2 columns without crochet into one loop of the previous row; knitting one column into the other loops without crochet) The number was 30 loops. 6 row. In the same way we make an increase in every third loop. The number was 40 loops. 7-14 row. Knit without increments columns without nakida. Each row - 40 loops. You can mark the first row with a marker pin and knit rows without counting loops. 15 row. We turn down every fourth column. The number was 30 loops. 16 row. A number of columns without crochet without increases and reductions. The number was 30 loops. 17 row We turn down every third column. The number was 20 loops. We knock out the body of a crocheted monkey with a filler. 18-22 row. Knit with single crochets without increments and reductions. Each row - 20 loops. 23 row. We reduce every fourth column. The row made 15 loops. 24 row We knit with posts without crochet. Finish a row of deaf loop. Fasten the thread, cut, and the tail tucked inside. The torso is ready. Paws Hind and front paws knit in the same way,the difference is only the length of the limbs: the front are longer than the rear. At will - you can make them the same length. The front of this monkey is made longer only so that they can be tied up, “fold on the chest. Start knitting - light thread. 1 row. Amigurumi ring tied with six columns without nakida. We close the ring with a deaf loop. 2 row. In each loop of the previous row we knit 2 columns without single crochet. The row was 12 loops. Close the row of deaf loop, fasten the thread, cut. We change the yarn to the dark. 3-7 row. Knit with single crochets without increments and reductions. Stuff with filler. 8 row. We continue to knit with single crochets, cutting every fourth loop. The row was 9 loops. Next, knit paws to the desired length. For the hind legs, I knitted 14 more rows of columns without quilts without increments and reductions (filling in this part of the limb is no longer necessary, mating, and so goes out quite dense). For the front paws - another 16 rows. The last row. Cut every second loop. We close the row with a deaf loop, fasten the thread and cut it, fill the tip inside. Tail 1 row. 40 air loops. 2 row. Bollards without nakida. Having reached the end of the row, we knit 5 columns without crochet into the last loop, unfold the knitting and continue to knit with crochets without crochet along the second side of the original chain of air loops. 3 row. Fold the resulting web in half lengthwise, “sew” both parts in blind loops. Assembling a crocheted monkey To a monkeycould sit without support and assistance, it is important to properly arrange its limbs and tail, and sew the head so as not to disturb the balance of the whole structure But the proportions of the body of a monkey are such that it will be absolutely easy to do. We put a sewing thread on the needle in the tone of the main (dark) yarn. Begin assembly with the trunk and tail. We attach the body with the fingers of the desired shape, “sit” it on the table and find the correct position for the tail - it should lie on the table. We sew it end to end. The body can almost sit with a support on the tail. Similarly, we find the position for the hind legs. In order not to miss when we sew, you can stick pins into the place where you will sew them. We undertake to assemble the head. We sew the protruding part of the muzzle. Sew start from the bottom. When a small hole remains unstitched, you can put a little filler in it. We find a good position for the ears and sew them symmetrically. Pin the head to the neck with pins. In this form, the future monkey should already sit. A slight asymmetry in the landing of the head may be accidental or intentional. Do not be afraid of such nuances - they, as a rule, give the toy a character. And last sew the front paws. Knitted monkey sitting and ready for the finalhatching. Making faces here, of course, everything remains at your discretion! You can use ready-made plastic or glass eyes, including cilia, so that the toy “comes to life”. Recently, I have been peering at Waldorf dolls, I suddenly liked the idea of “basting” faces, which the child dofantases to his desired emotions in various games. Perhaps that is why the “faces” of my toys turned out to be laconic to the utmost: eyes-knots and a triangular nose embroidered in several stitches of the muline. The hole from the bandaged amigurumi ring replaced the mouth, but, of course, the classic monkey “mouth to ear” toy, I think, would not spoil it. Or maybe it would be necessary to slightly browned cheeks? What do you think? I hope the description of the crocheted monkey was quite detailed and understandable, but, of course, I will always answer any questions with pleasure in the comments. Enjoy your creativity!
