Dancing time: hours with a ballerina
Time is usually displayed in a purely graphical form.form, with numbers on the dial, mechanical or electronic. On such watches, time flows in some impersonal way. But it can be different! This designer watch "Time is dansing" is designed to change our view of the nature of time. On the one hand, the watch with the ballerina makes the passage of time visible, and on the other, it seeks to display the fragility of everything that is in constant change. Designer Meike Harde moves away from the empty expression of the flow of time and offers his own vision of its course. The clock hands are made in the form of an elegantdancers. The girl's body and leg form the minute and hour hands, and when they move, the ballerina makes various pirouettes, sometimes twisting into very uncomfortable and barely possible poses. Nevertheless, the dancer maintains her balance and equilibrium with maximum concentration, because the supporting leg does not move, although one might assume that this is the second hand. The design comes not only fromfunctional-aesthetic approach. Metaphorical design is intended to bring a bit of poetry to such an ordinary object as a watch. The eternally young and flexible ballerina makes us see time not just as a set of lines and numbers, but as eternal movement and harmony. The base of the clock is made of ash woodpleasant light shade and pronounced texture. The surface of the dial is made of transparent acrylic glass on a white background. The details of the dancer are also translucent, which together creates the impression of lightness, weightlessness and airiness of the entire structure. Such a clock with a ballerina will look great both in the living room or bedroom, and in a child's room, especially for a girl who is engaged in classical dance.
