Ornaments of windows in the New Year for the 2015 Competition, hand-made articles from paper by the hands of the New Year
Everything should be special and beautiful on New Year's Day. On this holiday, it is customary to decorate not only the Christmas tree, but also the entire house; windows deserve special attention, because their decoration is visible to all passersby on the street. As you know, the most beautiful things often happenvery easy to perform. So every year we decorate our windows with paper crafts, using the simplest A4 sheets. We will also need a simple pencil and sharp scissors; it is better to prepare two of them of different sizes, since it is convenient to cut out the outline with one, and small details will need to be cut with nail scissors. What would New Year be without balloons! Therefore, we decided to hang them not only on the Christmas tree, but also decorate them with the shape of a window. At the first stage, we draw balls on paper. But here you must understand that small elements will not be interesting and visible, so we draw a ball on about half a sheet of standard A4 format. The contours of the ball should be perfectly smooth; if you are not a professional draftsman, then it is more convenient to use an auxiliary tool – compass. My idea – make a big ball with a monkey inside. After the first ball with a diameter of about 10 cm is drawn, I move the leg of the compass, reducing the radius size to 9 cm and draw a new inner circle. Two such details will mark the outline of the ball, and all the beauty will need to be drawn in the center. I also want to use my imagination and add a slightly elongated bottom to the outline, as if a dungeon is hanging down, but you can leave a rounded base. Now let's start creating the silhouette of the monkey. Since I'm not the best artist, I just copied the monkey from some postcard. But you can even do it simpler, find a painting with a monkey, scan it, and then print it out in the required size, place it on paper and trace it. You need to try to put one paw on the base of the ball, then it will seem that the monkey is standing in this New Year's ball, and not weighing in it. Now we draw additional elements, for example, stars. We draw sketches of stars on the ball and next to it. If you don't like stars, then create snowflake silhouettes. Additional elements can be drawn at the top of the ball in the form of a bow, because the ball is often hung on a ribbon with a bow. The bow itself should be large; in the upper part of it, draw slits that will imitate the folds of the ribbon. Now let's start cutting out our window decoration. To cut out the outline of the New Year's ball, bow and pendant – use large scissors, and cut through all the internal parts with small nail scissors. It is important not to leave traces of sketches on the paper, but to cut off the lines left by a pencil so that the ball looks snow-white. You can also cut out a ball with stars, snowflakes or simple circles. Add new elements each time, but all details should be large and clearly visible.Next step – gluing balls onto eyes. For this we need a weak adhesive solution. Dissolve about one tablespoon of PVA in half a liter of water, the water should be warm. Then use a brush to apply the adhesive solution to the cut out decorations and immediately press them against the glass. Be sure to carefully coat the edges of the ball and small parts. To avoid smearing the surface of the window sill on which you are spreading the balls, lay down bags.So beautiful windows are ready for the New Year! In the summer you can cut out flowers, rainbows and also decorate the windows in the children's bedroom.
