For a dress of size 46 we will need 850 g.wool, knitting needles No. 2 and 6 decorative buttons to your taste. The main knitting of the product is a 4x4 elastic band. (Alternate 4 front loops and 4 back loops). Finishing knitting is a "checkerboard". Knit the product with knitting needles No. 2. You can choose absolutely any color, although the knitting pattern will be better visible in lighter tones. You can also simply combine several colors, for example, highlight the elastic band, cuff and straps.
The "checkerboard" knitting is performedas follows: Knit the first 4 rows with a 4x4 elastic band, in the next, fifth row, knit the front loops over the back loops, and the back loops over the front loops. Knit the 6th, 7th, and 8th rows in the same way. Rows 9, 10, 11, and 12 are knitted in the same way as the first 4 rows, that is, the loops over the back loops will be front loops again, and over the front loops - back loops. In other words, every 4 rows, we shift the loops to the opposite ones. The dress consists of a back, front, and sleeves.
We knit the back from the bottom up with one main stitchknitting, making a 4 cm hem. We also do the front of the dress. Then we switch to the checkerboard knitting and knit to the waistline. After that, we do a 4x4 elastic band, but continue to knit the checkerboard stripes along the front and back, imitating straps. We knit the sleeves from the bottom up with a 4x4 elastic band. We sew the finished parts together. We decorate the neckline with a strip, knitted with an elastic band also 4x4, 2.5 cm wide. We sew three decorative buttons on the straps along the front, which will give the dress a special charm.
