Tips for making a snowman from thread:

  • It is important that the threads are woolen or withwool content. Wool is not soaked with glue so quickly, so even after drying it remains somewhat elastic and is subject to deformation. Synthetic threads will make the ball "stone", which is not very convenient to work with and is not suitable for making a snowman.
  • Clay will need a lot. Despite the fact that the photo shows only one bottle, you will need 3-4 of them (we had to buy more in the process). The thicker the glue, the more convenient it will be to work on a snowman made of thread.
  • It is advisable to poke a bottle of glueneedle, and not pull the thread through the bowl with glue. Many recommend the last option, and it is in vain: thus it is very difficult to cope with the stretching glue, whereas at the exit the thread from the bottle is cleared of excess glue and comes out very convenient for work.
  • At the exit point of the thread from the tube (just the exit, not the entrance), the hole needs to be slightly expanded, since thread during winding does not have enough time to gain glue.
  • While winding it is necessary to slightly compress the tube of glue.
