I used superglue. What he liked - is the fact that the bond on the finished snowflakes are almost imperceptible. Disadvantage: the snowflakes remain quite fragile. They can be used as decorations for the Christmas tree or for interior decoration, but it’s not worth counting on the fact that you can use them from year to year. Alternatively, considered hotsilicone glue. The disadvantages for me outweighed its merits (relatively secure bond): they cannot be glued together so that the glue is not noticeable. If, however, to show jewelery skills and use quite a bit of glue - reliability of gluing will suffer. In addition, superglue does not stain as much as the surface of macaroni. How to make snowflakes out of pasta?

If you use superglue, I advisespread out the macaroni snowflakes so that the macarons touch each other, and then “splash” the places of the joints with superglue. In this form, leave to dry. If the snowflake is multi-layered and complex, thenthe elements (rows) are glued gradually, as the previous rows dry. With hot glue - the algorithm of actions changes: put a drop of glue between the two elements and connect them directly during the formation of the snowflake.

Coloring finished snowflakes

When and how to paint the material? You can paint the pasta before starting work. Especially if you plan to attract children to work, and paint the material itself in different colors, this is a good idea. To paint pasta in different colors, you can use ordinary gouache, and then spread out each pasta separately on film - to dry. Another option is food coloring. Each color is separately diluted in a small amount of warm water and mixed with vodka (literally an incomplete tablespoon per dye bag). Then pasta for painting is poured into small but dense bags, the dye is added, the bags are tied, and the pasta is mixed, shaking the bag outside. When the pasta is evenly covered in color - they are laid out one by one to dry. My snowflakes are white. Used for painting the usual acrylic paint. It is convenient to use paint in a can, but I wanted to make “snow-covered snowflakes”, so I applied painting with a sponge. The result was an interesting scuff effect. We are waiting for the paint to dry completely and paint the second side in the same way.
