Despite the fact that modular origami is becomingincreasingly popular in Russia, we never cease to be amazed by the beauty and durability of crafts made from thin paper, as well as their diversity. A snowman made using the modular origami technique will stand under the tree for many years, delighting the children.

Before you start working, prepare modules of the same size from multi-colored paper:

  • yellow - 20 pcs.;
  • red - 21 pcs .;
  • blue - 4 pcs .;
  • violet - 50 pieces;
  • black - 40 pcs .;
  • white - 900 pcs.

  • We collect the first ball. Connect the 6 modules to one unit.
  • Expand the block, putting on the edges of one module and fixing them with another row.
  • Make four such blocks.
  • Fasten them together. To be clear, in the photo fastening modules are painted in red. In fact, they must be white. It turned out 20 modules in the third row.
  • Turn the workpiece over and make a "zero row" modules of any color.
  • Turn over the workpiece again and make the 4th rowof the 24 white modules. Insert two modules into one corner (shown in red), then 4 into two angles (shown in yellow), repeat three more times.
  • The 5th and 6th rows are assembled without adding, in the 7th we repeat the installation of two modules per corner, but after 5 usual ones. There should be 28 modules.
  • Make the 8th ordinary row. Then pull out one denticle and add the "button" of the 4 parts with the yellow modules. We make the 9th row unchanged.
  • We begin to reduce the diameter of the sphere. To do this, in 4 places, plant two modules on three corners. As a result, you will have 24 parts in a row.
  • Do two more rows without changing (11, 12). In the 12th insert the yellow module for the "button".
  • In the 13th row, apart from the button, it is necessary to reduce the diameter to 20 parts by putting the modules in the places indicated by the red into 3 corners.
  • Collect 2 more rows of 20 pieces.
  • We will also start the second ball, but in the third row there should be 18 modules. Do not forget to insert the "button", as shown in the photo.
  • In the 4th row add three modules in three places, as the diagram shows, bringing the number of parts to 21st.
  • In the 9th row, again reduce the diameter by 3 modules and add up to the 11th row.
  • We collect the 12th and 13th rows from the same 18 modules, but by unfolding them long side inside one row white, the second (scarf) with red details.
  • The third ball (head) is all composed of rows of 16 modules. The third row is the beginning of the "smile" of the snowman ending in the 6th row. Insert the black paper modules.
  • In the 7th row we make blue eyes and a nose made of red paper.
  • We finish to spread our eyes in the 8th row.
  • Rotate the modules long side inward and fold the 9th row. The head is ready.
  • The purple bucket consists of 7 rows of 15 modules each.
  • We collect the received details. We got an origami snowman without hands.
  • Take a shish kebab and glue a broom of 30 black modules to it.
  • Another 10 pieces make hands, glue them on the sides of the snowman and insert a broom. Origami snowman made of paper ready to celebrate the New Year.
