Doll tilde angel: master class
Handmade toys are different from store bought onesbecause each of them has a character. You can sew a dozen angel tildes using one pattern, and each of them will have its own personality. Why is this happening? It all depends on many factors — insignificant, at first glance. From the mood of the master, from the weather outside the window, from the fabric, from the background music accompanying the work, etc. What will the doll be — It is never possible to predict, but this cute lottery is the highlight of the handmade doll and an excellent motivation for the author to quickly finish his work in order to «get to know» with your creation. If there are children in the house, they will be the first to appreciate your creativity, and for sure the “new resident” will certainly become the favorite of their games. And who doesn't love tilde? Charm and deliberate primitivism — distinctive features of each toy made in this style. We have already introduced you to. It's time to start working on the angel.
To sew an angel's tilde, you will need:
flesh-colored cotton fabric; textilefor a doll's dress, preferably in pastel colors; finishing tapes or braid; beads; a cord that can be easily unraveled, or other material for making hair; fabric paints (ordinary acrylic paints are also suitable); padding polyester; threads
Tilda angel: master class with a pattern
1. Print out the angel pattern in the size you need.2.In order to cut out the parts for the doll's body, you need to assemble a panel consisting of two types of fabric. Fold the flesh-colored calico and the fabric intended for the dress right side together, place a stitch along the cut and iron. You should have two such panels. Then fold them with the right sides inward, aligning the seam, apply the body pattern, trace it, and sew a line along the intended contour. Using the same principle, cut out the handles.
3. Fold the flesh-colored fabric right sides together, apply the leg pattern, trace along the outline, stitch along the line and cut out.
4. Iron the resulting parts, turn them inside out and fill them with padding polyester.
5. Disguise the neckline seam: sew a decorative ribbon with hidden stitches.
6. Sew the arms and legs with blind stitches.
7. Let's start cutting out the skirt.Fold the fabric for the dress in half, right sides inward. On the wrong side we build a trapezoid, the length of the upper base of which is equal to the circumference of the doll’s chest multiplied by 4; bottom — at your discretion. We cut out, stitch and overcast the side seams. We trim the bottom with lace.
8. Gather the top of the skirt; sew it to the doll as shown in the photo. We close the seam with tape.
9. Using paint and ribbons, we “shoe” our angel with a tilde.
10.In order to create a tilde hairstyle, you need a cord that unravels well. Stretch it, arrange the threads in stacks of the required length, tie them in the center and, forming a hairstyle on the doll’s head, sew on. Draw eyes and cheeks on the face.
11. The final touch is the wings! We make it according to the previously described principle and sew it to the back with hidden stitches.
12. We sew a bird for Tilda angel.
