Try to start with something simple and accessible, then you will not make mistakes in the work and will be able to confidently start working on a more complex composition. We offer you to draw a simple landscape in pencil in stages, which will depict the sky, river, shore and palm tree. The main element of drawing this landscape is the use of different types of hatching. Even the beginner will cope with the proposed drawing, as all the stages are described in detail and shown in the photo. Different hue shades you can clearly see in the photo. They are numbered, in each step you will find a figure corresponding to that kind of hatching, which you need to paint over the area of the drawing. Another point is to use pencils having different softness, then it will be easy to create a contrast and convey all the shadow features. Let's get to work. Draw a sketch, such as in the photo. Here it is immediately numbered, so it will be convenient to choose the desired kind of hatching. Take a pencil 2H and put a light tone (1),displaying the sky and the river. Drawing on the sky (from its upper part) (2) diagonal strokes, closer to the bottom, pressing on the pencil needs to be made weaker, to get a lighter tone. Now we need to create the illusion of ripples on the surface of the water (foreground) (2). To do this, draw horizontal strokes. Before hatching, be sure to remove the horizontal line in the island. The next step is to hatch the far mountain (3). For this purpose we use a pencil HB and press it when working weakly. Shadows on the island with an erased line draw pencils 2B and HB, a small part of the foreground - pencils 2B and 4B. Lighter tones (4) with a pencil HB. Take the pencil HB and draw the reflection of the island onriver (5). The tone should be made darker than at the moment the island itself. The strokes need to be horizontal. In pencil 2B we paint the foreground - the ground (7). With pencil 4B we make several uneven lines in the foreground simulating vegetation, and draw a palm trunk. We make several strokes with the help of pencil 2B along the island (6). The upper part of the island is a light tone, the lower part is slightly darker. Branches of palm trees should be drawn using a pencil 2B. With sharpened pencils 2B and HB we draw small palm branches. Those branches that are closer are much lighter than the far ones. Perhaps, something you do not like with tones onfigure. They can be made lighter or darker. Light do with the eraser, and the dark ones with the help of additional strokes. Do not be afraid to experiment with hatching. You can always make your own corrections to the ensemble proposed by us.
