Dress Provence, loin knitting. Work of Elena Saenko
Dress "Provence". Size 46-48.The dress is made using the fillet technique, from a mixed thread, 50/50 cotton with acrylic, consumption 400 g, 800 m in 100 g, hook 1.7. Before you start knitting, be sure to make a sample, steam it and make your calculations. For the skirt, I used the tablecloth pattern without changes, the pattern seemed very harmonious to me. The wedges are clearly visible in the pattern, so the skirt is bell-shaped with 8 wedges. Start knitting approximately row 40 of the pattern, you can start on earlier rows, it all depends on the desired length. Knit from the cast-on edge down in circular rows always on the front side of the product. After the main part of the skirt is finished, continue from the cast-on edge up the yoke with double crochets, laying a thin elastic band - a thread, which ensures a good fit at the waist. From the yoke upwards, knit with a spider pattern (use the pattern from the skirt) in a circle in straight and reverse rows to the armhole. Then divide into two parts: the shelf and the back. Do not knit the armhole, you get a dropped shoulder. At the height of the neckline, separate both parts and close each shoulder separately. Sew the shoulder seams. Tie the armholes and neck with single crochets and finish with a row of double crochets. Steam the product. The underdress is a contrasting color, in my case dark blue, the pattern is more visible.
