Embroidered pans with pans

This master class is perfect
who decided to embroider a picture with their own hands for the first timeusing satin ribbons. Thanks to step-by-step actions and photos with detailed descriptions, anyone can embroider these wonderful flowers themselves.
Before you start embroidering flowers, you must first draw them on the fabric of your choice:

To make it easier for you to work later, all the seams and stitches used to create this picture are marked on this picture.

It is also better to prepare all the materials necessary for the work in advance:

  • You will need a small piece of cloth 20X20cm.
  • two needles: one for ribbons and the other for working with threads.
  • Thread of lilac color.
  • 1 m 6 mm green satin ribbon.
  • About 20 cm of yellow ribbon.
  • Approximately 50 cm of a wider band of yellow color.
  • 50 cm is the same for the thickness of the purple tape.
  • And 70 cm of 12 mm lilac ribbon.
  • Embroidery frame.
  • Pencil or chalk, which you will apply a pattern on the fabric.

To correctly select materials for the future painting, as well as to understand how the tapes differ from each other, you can watch a short video:

Beginner needlewomen can be advised to watch a video clip that shows how to correctly thread a ribbon into a needle:

So, after you have threaded the ribbon, transferred the design onto the fabric and tucked it into the hoop, you can begin the actual embroidery:

  • Straight stitchWe start our embroidery with threeupper petals, which will need to be made using straight stitches. The main thing is not to forget to secure the ribbon itself before starting the work process. When making a straight stitch, we first pull the needle with the ribbon to the front side. Then, having decided on the size of the petal, at the desired point we again bring the needle to the back side. It is worth noting that the appearance of a straight stitch largely depends on the thickness of the ribbon;
  • Having finished embroidering the three upper petals with wide ribbons, we can start working on two side lobes. They are also embroidered with straight stitches;
  • The two lower yellow petals you will have to embroider with the help of the same seam;

  • Loop seamHaving done this, you can proceed tomaking the core of our flower with ribbons. For this we will need a “loop” stitch. Bring the needle to the front side at point “A” and, making a small indent to the right, return to the back side through point “B”. Then, at point “C”, bring the needle to the front side so that the ribbon is directly underneath it. The final stage will be carefully tightening the loop and returning the needle to the back side;

  • Twisted Ribbon StitchThanks to the step-by-stepWith the instructions you were able to easily embroider the petals and the core, now you only need to decorate the side and bottom petals with floss and your flower will be ready. In the photo we see only two flowers, but if you wish, you can embroider a whole composition consisting of pansies;
  • When
    the flowers themselves will be completed, we will be ablestart embroidering their stems. And we embroider them using twisted stitches: First, you will need to stick the needle out to the front side, and carefully twisting it with your fingers, twist the ribbon. Then you will need to pierce the ribbon in the place you need and bring the needle out to the wrong side. Now you need to secure the twisted stitch with a knot. In order to do this, it will be enough to simply bring the needle out to the front side near the place of the previous puncture of the fabric and, having formed a knot, return it to the wrong side again;

  • Ribbon stitchEmbroidery of leaves is carried outribbon stitches (sometimes called swirl stitches): After straightening the ribbon on the front side, you will need to pierce it with a needle at point "B". After returning to the back side, you will only need to adjust the degree of tension of the ribbon. In this way, you will need to embroider all the leaves with green ribbons. And such wonderful flowers, made with your own hands, will appear on your picture:

  • Pansies can be embroidered in various ways. After watching a short video, you will see one of them:

    Embroider a basket with lilacs Previous
    was pretty easy. Now let's try to make the task a little more difficult.
    After carefully reading our master class, you will be able to embroider a basket with lilac branches using ribbons:
    Let's start by preparing all the necessary materials:

    • scissors;
    • A lighter;
    • the hoop;
    • needles;
    • The basis for the picture;
    • thread;
    • satin ribbons.

    Of course, you can buy ready-made prints for embroidery with ribbons, but since we do not have a very complex picture, we will designate its contours on the fabric with our own hands.
    Then, having threaded the material into the hoop, we can begin embroidering the lilac branches. We will need to bring the needle with the ribbon and the needle with the thread to the front side.
    Using a needle and thread, we will have to make several stitches on the ribbon: first 2 along it, then 1 across, again 2 along and another 1 across.
    By gently pulling the thread, you will tighten the ribbon and you will have one small lilac flower. Having done this, you will need to bring the needle to the wrong side and secure the thread there.
    In this way you will need to make the required number of flowers. The main thing is not to forget to fasten the thread on the wrong side each time.
    You can choose the size of the branches and their number yourself. However, please note that embroidered branches look nicer if you embroider them with ribbons of different shades.

    Following our step-by-step instructions, you have embroidered a bouquet of lilacs, and now you need to decorate it with green leaves. You can do this in two ways:

    • Sew the leaves, making stitches with curls;
    • Or cut them out of a thick green ribbon and after processing the edges of the lighter simply sew the resulting leaves in the right places.

    At this stage we will sew our own basket for our bouquet. First we will need to make large horizontal stitches, as in the presented photo.
    Next we will need to make vertical stitches so that they intertwine with the horizontal stripes, forming a “checkerboard pattern”.
    To make it easier for you to imagine how to do this, you can look at the photo of the finished basket.
    At this point, our master class can be considered complete. All you have to do is stretch the picture you embroidered with your own hands onto the frame and hang it in the place you chose in advance.

    This is what the finished work looks like, done intechnique of ribbon embroidery. In this picture, the embroidered lilac branches are made using different colors and shades. Some leaves are also made in two colors, but the basket itself is, on the contrary, monochromatic.
    I would like to point out separately that lilac can be embroidered in different ways. Our master class told you about, perhaps, the simplest of them.
    However, to inspire you, you can look at some ready-made pictures. In them you will see hand-embroidered lilac branches.

    After all, ribbon embroidery is not just one oftypes of handicrafts are rather a way of self-expression. You can feel like an artist creating a real masterpiece from start to finish with your own hands.

    Embroider with Butterfly Tapes

    Embroidery with ribbons allows us not only to createBeautiful paintings, but also to contribute additional details. For example, decorate the paintings on which various embroidered satin ribbons are made with butterflies of different colors and sizes.
    Let's try to decorate the paintings by embroidering beautiful butterflies on them:
    Ribbon embroidery of an apple butterfly
    This is the pattern we will be embroidering:
    For work we will need black threads and ribbons (white, black and red).

  • Any embroidery with ribbons begins with embedding the ribbon and fixing it on the fabric. In addition, before starting work, it is necessary to transfer the pattern to the fabric and insert it into the embroidery frame;
  • Having finished with these arrangements, you will have to embroider with the ribbons of red the inside of the wings;
  • The outer parts of the wings are embroidered with black ribbons in two rows using an overlap;
  • Then on the edges of the wings embroider white details;
  • The top of the front wings is treated with knitted stitches, and the remainder of the wings are stitched with a "Palestrina" stitch;
  • At the very end of the black threads embroider the mustache and body.
  • Ribbon embroidery of Danaids Chrysippus
    The shape and appearance of this butterfly are slightly different from the previous model. In order to embroider this beauty we will need:

    • Black and brown thread;
    • Black, white, beige and golden ribbons.

    Let's get to work:

    • First you need to outline all the contours;
    • Then it will be necessary to embroider with beige ribbons the inner parts of the upper wings;
    • The back wings are embroidered with golden ribbons;
    • The outer part of the upper wings is embroidered with ribbons of black color, and then decorated with small white details;
    • Having done all this, you will have to decorate the front edge of the wings with a black 2 mm ribbon. This "edging" is made with small knitted stitches;
    • The remaining "untreated" wings on the edge are stitched with "Palestrina" stitch;
    • To ensure that such an original embroidery ribbons have acquired a finished look, you will still need to embroider the butterfly's body with brown threads, and make its antennae black.

    You can also make a butterfly from tapes in an easier way. To do this, you just need to watch a small video:
