Felt Christmas tree toy in patchwork style
Felt Christmas tree pendants are easy and enjoyable to sew.In this master class we will show how to sew a felt Christmas tree toy - in the form of a Christmas tree using a technique reminiscent of patchwork. You can decorate not only a New Year tree with such trees, but also structures designed to replace it. For example, painted branches, garlands, etc. And what if you attach such a pendant to a chocolate bar and give it to the teacher? Will the gift be remembered, will he like it? Let's get to work.
To sew such a toy on a felt Christmas tree, you will need:
green felt; colored felt - threedifferent colors; a little bit of stuffing; ribbons to match the felt of any color prepared for sewing the toy; green floss; paper and pencil for the pattern; ruler; needle; tailor's chalk, felt-tip pens or gel pens for transferring the pattern onto the felt; scissors.

In our case, these are two triangles, one slightly smaller than the other. They can be drawn with a ruler, or they can be redrawn directly from the monitor, by placing a sheet of paper on it and drawing the contours with a pencil.
Christmas tree toy made of felt: job description
We cut out both pattern pieces, but we don’t cut the outer part along the lines inside the triangle yet.We outline the larger triangle on green felt.I folded the felt in half, so to make three felt Christmas tree ornaments I only needed to trace three triangles. If you are working with a larger sheet, you will need to trace the triangle six times.
We cut out our triangles - we got three pairs of triangles - the basis for three toys.
We select colored felt. I have blue, yellow and pink.
On each sheet we outline only one smaller triangle.
Cut out three colored triangles and cut each of them into three parts according to the smaller pattern.
Mix the colored parts of the triangles so that each of them is three-colored.
We immediately select and cut to the required sizethree pieces of ribbon so that our trees could be hung on the wall or Christmas tree. We chose a ribbon to match the blue felt, unfortunately, in the photo it seems that the shade does not match.
We sew the adjacent parts of the front part of the Christmas tree decoration with a loop stitch.
It turns out bright and elegant.
Place the patchwork decorative piece on top of one of the green triangles so that the width of the edge is approximately the same on all sides.
Sew both parts together using a loop stitch.
We place the second green part of the future toy under the first one and sew them together using a loop stitch along the perimeter.
Fold the ribbon in half, you can fix it at the bottom with a knot or a couple of stitches. Put it in the upper corner of the tree and stitch it.
Don't forget to leave a hole for stuffing.
You will need very little stuffing, just to give the felt toy a little volume, a cute plumpness.
Our mini-set of felt toys for the Christmas tree is ready. In the same way, you can make toys of any recognizable silhouette - a house, a Christmas wreath, Santa's boot, etc. And how to sew with cross stitch - read the link provided. Eva Casio specially for the site Previous article: Next article:
