Free master classes to create colors with step-by-step photos.
Very ancient and eternally young, that's how it can becharacterize beads. Tiny rainbow fragments can shine for many years without losing their brightness and shine. Making crafts from beads is a very old type of handicraft, whose history goes back many hundreds of years. Archaeologists have found small beads made of shells, bones, gold and silver in ancient tombs and burial mounds around the world. In one burial in Africa, remains were found strewn with 12,000 gold beads. And if in ancient times, beads were mainly used for embroideries to decorate clothes or interior items, then in the modern world, the imagination of needlewomen and craftsmen creates amazing products from small rainbow fragments that have nothing to do with embroidery. They weave costume jewelry that rivals jewelry in originality and brightness. Beads are used to decorate purses, hairpins, candlesticks, and cutlery. They even weave napkins from it. One of the options for crafts is beaded flowers. At first glance, it seems that creating flowers from beads will be a very difficult task. But in the articles of our Club, we offer master classes with step-by-step photos that will turn weaving flowers into a pleasant hobby, and the results of the work will invariably please you. For those who are just starting to weave, we offer to create such a nice blooming cactus from beads.You will need:
- Foam base for cactus (round or oval);
- Beads 10/0 of green, yellow and pink colors;
- Wire 0,3 mm;
- Green paint;
- A pot for a cactus.
The first stage, the basis.The cactus requires a foam base. You can buy a ready-made one in craft stores or cut it out yourself from a piece using a stationery knife. The finished base must be painted green.The next stage is weaving the thorns.String 10 green beads onto a small piece of wire and cross the ends of the wire in 5 beads, leaving a small end of the wire sticking out on one side of the resulting ring, and a longer one on the other. For one blank you will need all 3 rings twisted together.
It is necessary to weave a lot of such blanks andstick them into the foam base. The third stage is flowers. All flowers consist of loops of pink and yellow beads, collected in a bunch. The sizes of the loops can be different, because living cacti can have both large and small flowers. Their size will depend only on your imagination. For one loop, string beads on a small piece of wire (in this case 17 pcs.), pass one end of the wire through the bead closest to it and string the original number of beads (1 pc.) on this tail.
The last step is to attach the flowers to the cactus and you're done. The next master class with step-by-step photos is dedicated to creating the queen of flowers from beads - a rose.
You will need:
- Gold and maroon chopping;
- Gold beads;
- The current wire is 0.4 mm;
- Thick steel wire 4 mm (section 35 - 40 cm);
- Mulina is golden in color;
- Threads for sewing gold color;
- Transparent instant glue;
- Scissors and nippers.
Petals.Work in the French (arc) weaving technique. It is necessary to make three petals with five arches on each side of the axis. For the base, string 5 red choppings. Weave the last pair of arches from gold choppings. For a more even arrangement of the arches during work, you can use a hair clip. After weaving the last arch, make a couple of turns of the working tail of the wire around the axis to secure the last arch.Leave a 5mm tail for fasteningaxis-base and hide it in the last circle on the wrong side. Fold the petals overlapping. This is the center of the rose. Twist the lower ends tightly. The next circle of petals. You will need 3 petals from 7 pairs of arches. Weave the last two pairs of arches from above, making purl loops on the front side. Weave similarly to the core from red chopping, the last pair of arches from gold. Bend the petals according to the photo, the purl loops should remain inside.
Third circle of petals.Weave in the same way, instead of seven pairs of arcs weave 8. In the last three circles on top make purl loops on the front side. The last pair of arcs is woven from gold chopping. Bend the finished petals according to the photo. Wind the core with sewing threads onto a piece of steel wire. Gather the next two circles overlapping around. The fourth circle of petals. It is necessary to weave 4 petals on 2 axes. 11 circles each. On the first axis, dial 1 red chopping, on the second two, make a circle, again dial 1 chopping on the axis and make the second circle. Then weave without additives on the axis.
Starting from the sixth circle, weave purl loopsfrom the front side. Weave the last row from the golden chop. Bend and attach to the rest of the petals with an overlap. The last row of petals. You need five petals. On three axes. From 13 circles. String 1 chop on the first axis, 2 on the others, make the first circle. String 1 chop on the second axis, weave a circle. Put 1 chop on the first and third axes and weave a circle. Weave all the rest without additives. Starting with the sixth, weave purl loops on the front side. Weave the last circle with the golden chop. Bend the petals and attach to the rest with an overlap.
Sepals.For work, take ordinary gold-colored beads. It is necessary to weave 5 sepals. The axis is 6 cm long. String 5 cm of beads on it and make one full circle (2 arcs). On the working tail of the wire, string a string of beads 1.5 cm shorter than in the previous arc. Pass the wire through the first circle and the axis and string the same amount of beads again. Fasten the string at the bottom. Make a couple more of these arcs. At the top of the axis, the loops are front, at the bottom - purl. Bend the sepals, giving them a natural shape and attach them under the flower with threads.
Leaves.You will need to make 2 branches with three leaves on each. Weave from golden chopped thread. Cast on 6 chopped threads on the axis, weave 8 pairs of arcs. Do not change the loops in places. On the front side - front loops, on the back side - back loops. You will need to weave the ninth pair of arcs from regular round beads, so the leaf will look more even and neat. Weave the arcs at an angle of about 45 ° relative to the axis. Twist 3 leaves into one branch. Wrap with floss.
Assembly. Attach the leaves to the stem with the rose and wrap everything with gold-colored floss. Secure the ends of the threads with transparent glue.
The rose is ready.Nature is the best creator and inspirer. It creates flowers of various shapes and shades, which inspire needlewomen to weave beaded crafts. The following master class with photos is dedicated to weaving gladioli from beads.
There are many varieties of gladioli, theyvary in height, number of flowers and color. If it is difficult for you to weave a multi-colored version with a large number of flowers at once, use beads of one shade. You can weave a small flower from 5 inflorescences. In general, everything depends on your desire and imagination. You will need:
- Beads and felling (for small leaves) of two shades of green (40 g and 100 g);
- The beads are crimson, white, pink;
- Wire 0,3 mm;
- Thick wire 4 mm (length of the segment up to 80 cm);
- Scissors and nippers;
- Green thread;
- Glue.
Leaves (small).They are located near the flowers and buds. 4 buds and 7 flowers will be made. For each you will need 2 pcs. A total of 22 small leaves. Weave in the French arc technique. For the axis, collect 2 cm of beads, make 4 pairs of arcs. Between the third and fourth arcs, put an additional chop on the axis. The leaf will be more pointed. The length of the axis is only 8 cm.The buds are small (green).One gladiolus branch will have 4 buds of different sizes. Weave from two shades of green beads. The axis is the same for all four, the number of arcs changes. For the first, 4 pairs are needed, for the second 5, for the third 6 and for the fourth 7. The length of the wire segment for the base is 10 cm.
The buds are large (opening).They have petals and two leaves. The first two buds (lower part of the photo) consist of 1 petal each. The axis is 2 cm, one has 4 pairs of arcs, the other 6. The third bud has 2 petals (top right). Weave similarly to the petals of the first two buds. The last bud is the largest (top left) consists of 3 petals, a small one and two larger ones. Twist the middle one and arrange the other two around it.
Flower. You will need 6 petals for it.There will be two rows of three each. Two of the six petals need to be made longer and narrower than the other four, which can be the same size. You will need another 3 stamens and 1 pistil.
For three petals, the axis is 2 cm and there are 5 pairs of arches,(wire length for the axis is 10 cm). For two narrow ones, the axis is 2.5 cm and 3 pairs of arches (wire length for the axis is 8 cm), for 1 small petal, the axis is 1 cm and 5 pairs of arches (wire length for the axis is 8 cm). Before weaving the last circle, put 1 bead on the axis for all the petals. You will need a total of 7 flowers - 4 small and 3 larger. For large flowers, make the axis half a centimeter larger.
The 3 cm pistil consists of three 1 cm loops.You will need a 20 cm piece of wire. String beads for the loop, place them in the center, twist the wire a couple of times, make 2 more loops and then string beads at both ends. Stamens are 3 cm high, loops are 2 cm each. A 15 cm piece of wire. Assembly (the flower itself). First tier. 1 large petal at the top and 2 narrow ones at the bottom. Second tier. Small petal at the bottom, two large ones at the top. First connect the stamens and pistil, wind with threads, place the narrow petals next to the stamens, and one large one with the pistil. Place a small petal between the narrow ones. Wind the remaining petals with threads and make a winding 5 cm down, coat with glue.
Assembling the entire gladiolus branch.Attach all the flowers and buds in two rows on the right and left. Wrap a piece of thick wire with green threads for 3 cm, glue. This is the top of the flower. Roll 4 green leaves of the bud into a tube.
Attach them in a staggered pattern starting fromthe smallest, making a distance of 2 - 3 cm between them, wrap with threads and coat with glue. Now you need to attach the next three large (opening) buds. Between them, you also need to make indents of 3 cm.
Take the smallest petal and twist it as beforegreen, attach to the stem, tie a little with threads and attach two leaves from the chopped area so that the place where the bud is attached is covered. Twist the large petal and attach it in the same way as the first bud. Tie two leaves from the chopped area. The next bud (made of large and small petals) – twist the large petal, and attach the small one to it and bend it outward. Attach two leaves from the chopped area. The next large bud is made of three petals. Twist the petal without a pattern, attach the remaining two and bend them back. Tie two leaves from the chopped area.
If the stem is not long enough, you can tie itanother piece of wire. Bend the stem slightly. From the bend to the first flower about 3 cm. attach the first flower, wrap about 3 cm with threads and attach two leaves from the chopping. Fasten all the other flowers in the same way, coat the attachment points with glue. When the last flower is attached, continue winding the stem for some distance. After all the threads are cut and the ends are glued, bend the pistils, stamens and petals of the flowers, giving them a more natural look.
The gladiolus branch is ready.
