Homeschooling - natural science. Planet, rainbow from plasticine.
There are many theories and controversies about homeschooling, but we won't get into a debate now. I just want to share with you our plasticine crafts on the topic of "natural science". Today Yarik made planet Earth, a rainbow, clouds and the sun. He really liked the fact that the Earth, it turns out, is not made of dirt, but has different layers: first the solid core, then the liquid part of the core, the viscous mantle and the earth's crust. Here are the details:First we molded the core.
Then the remaining layers - the mantle - the thickest of all:
We have brown plasticine for the earth's crust layeryesterday ended when Yarik was sculpting his favorite dinosaurs… We already made the sea and continents on top. We learned a little geography - the names and positions of the continents on the map. Well, Yarik wanted to add new countries, I was not against it))
And the most interesting part for him:cut the Earth in half and see what it looks like in a cross-section. He was happy to see "such beauty", despite the fact that the plasticine was smeared (if you use modeling clay - it will turn out much better).
We got a little off topic, but had some fun:
I also suggest you look at the craft"solar system" made of paper. The next lesson in natural history is how a rainbow is made. I thought I would tell my son about all the nuances, but it turned out that he knows more about it than me... He loves watching educational videos on such interesting topics and remembers everything.
Then we put together a picture:
More crafts with kids.
These kinds of natural history lessons in home schooling are very good for helping a child remember some important and interesting facts that are usually taught at school.
