Decoupage of bottles with rice paper is perhaps one of the easiest ways to transform an unnecessary thing for most. If you have never done such things before and do not know where to start, then choose this method, this material.We can take absolutely any bottle.It can be an empty container or a filled one. It all depends on your desire and purpose. As for rice paper, you can easily find this material in specialized stores that offer goods for handicrafts or fine arts. You can also buy rice paper in online stores. It can have different patterns or no images at all. You can use the one that best meets your requirements for the final result. After we have decided on the material, we will begin the process of transforming the bottle. To do this, we will first prepare the bottle. In order to be able to work with it, its surface must be degreased. We need to take any product such as alcohol, nail polish remover or regular acetone and wipe the entire bottle with it.Now we take rice paper for decoupage andcarefully tear off the places with image elements. We will tear off very carefully, so that the tearing place does not pass along the edge of the drawing itself. The drawing should be torn off in such a way that there are empty areas of paper around it. In this case, you do not need to use scissors. Here, even edges will not play to the advantage. As a result, they will stand out strongly against the general background, which is unacceptable. The surface texture should be smooth. The image itself, at the same time, is uniform. The next step will be pasting the bottle with rice paper. We will glue it with an adhesive mixture prepared from PVA glue and ordinary water. We need to mix the ingredients in a one to one ratio. We will do the pasting itself step by step. In total, we will have three stages. The first stage is applying the adhesive mixture to the part of the bottle surface to which we will glue the image element. The glue is applied with a brush. We will carefully apply a fragment of the image to the surface greased with glue. It needs to be applied so that it sticks to the bottle. On top, according to the drawing, we will apply a thin layer of glue again. We will do this, as in the first stage, using a brush. Now we take the next piece of rice paper with another element of the image and, in the same way, glue it to the next section of the bottle. This must be done with an overlap. But if during the work we suddenly have gaps that are not filled with paper, this is not a problem. We will glue rice paper without a pattern on them. There will be no unevenness, since the material has a peculiar texture that prevents this. We glue the entire bottle and leave it for some time so that it dries completely. After the bottle has completely dried, we will begin drawing the little things, namely, shadows, strokes, small additional details. We will draw with pastels. This must be done extremely carefully and attentively. The crayons themselves are not used in the work. We will have to draw with our fingers. To do this, the finger must be rubbed against the crayon of the desired color. Then, using a painted finger, we apply the shadows we need onto the bottle itself.After all the strokes are drawn, we need to cover the product with transparent varnish. We will do this in three - four layers.Now you know how to decoupage a bottle with rice paper. As you can see, there is nothing complicated or impossible about it.
