How to make an original doll of threads with your own hands

String dolls have no eyes and mouth, all this could be used for insidious purposes by those wishing to send misfortunes and troubles to the owner of the doll, or even simply kill.
After all, when a doll has a face, it gains a soul.Men were never allowed to weave dolls, only women and girls did it. The purposes for which these dolls were made were also different. Some were burned, which was a symbol of purification and renewal, some remained in the house, were considered a talisman and protected the home and family from evil forces and unkind energies. To make a doll, as in the picture, you need: - threads - a needle - a base for winding (for example, a book) - scissors
The process of creating a doll is divided into severalstages. The first is winding the threads onto the base. Take a book and wind another skein of threads onto it. Make about 100-120 turns, then cut on one side. The resulting bundle of threads must be folded in half. On top of the uncut section, form the future head of the doll, tie the threads.
From the resulting doll's body we separate 2 bunchesthreads - handles - this is the second stage. To make them neater and hold better, we wind another batch of threads on the book, making 80-90 turns. On one side we cut again and tie it into a bundle, then we braid it, tie the ends. We insert the arms into the body and tightly pull them together with threads under them.The final stage is decoration.The dress will be made from cardboard, onto which you can then glue the material, embroider it with beads, beads. We glue the cardboard and attach it to the doll. From the same threads, but a different color, you can make a bouquet or a wreath for the doll. If desired, you can make a face for the doll. Tie the knots with contrasting threads in the places where the eyes and mouth will be. Older children can be involved in the manufacturing process, they will certainly be interested. Such a doll is a great way to show imagination, reveal the creative abilities of the child.
