How to make textile flavored hearts as a gift for the Creative Competition 2016, presents with your own hands
Looking through various sites on handicrafts, sometimes I come across pages with an announcement about a competition. I'm always happy for the winners. Their work is admirable. Today I decided to show my work.I am the mother of two teenage boys.I have them at an interesting age (10 and 12 years old). And of course they like to give small gifts to girls. This prompted me to take up what is now my hobby – creating gifts with your own hands.
Today I want to present to your attention onefrom my works – "Textile hearts". In making my hearts I used: – chintz, – linen canvas, – padding polyester for filler, – glue and threads, – ribbons and braid (by the way, I used not only the factory braid, but also crocheted it myself), – paper flowers (also different: ready-made, and also made them into fabrics, ribbons, crepe paper and crocheted) – beads and half-beads, – buttons and generally everything that came to hand.
I also used the “decoupage” technique. Bytextiles By the way, these hearts have a secret – they smell like lavender. To do this, using a medical syringe, I soaked the filler of my hearts with Lavender essential oil.
But the gift seemed unfinished to me, and II decided to make gift boxes for my hearts. All of the above materials were used in their production, as well as rice, crepe or other colored paper, as well as simply wallpaper left over from the renovation.
In general, both my boys and their girls liked the gifts. I hope your gaze will also focus on them and you will have new ideas for creativity. Good luck and inspiration to all passionate creators!
