Women have adorned themselves since the beginning of time. The archaeologists find amazing and original things around the world. Cities of the Incas worshiping the golden god, the Aztecs and Mayans, the tombs of the Valley of the Kings of Egypt, the palaces of the emperors in China, the Persian and Scythian mounds, in all were original, endowed with special charm and magnetism decorations. It was their identity and attractiveness that created a new wave of popularity and inspired designers to create more and more collections in ethnic style. Such ornaments have a very special energy. Perhaps they do not always have enough grace compared to the creations of Tiffany and Swarovski, but such jewelry delicacies will be cold pieces of ice, indifferent to your beauty. While etno decorations warmly emphasize your features and become the original accent of the whole image. Ornaments in the ethnic style produce their most diverse materials, shells, feathers, beautiful pebbles and beads. However, there is a material that can easily simulate all these details and will become a real godsend for hand-made jewelry lovers - polymer clay. Compliant, soft and plastic material, has a rich palette of colors and a mass of various effects: metallic, sparkles and even fluorescence. There are several areas of ethnic jewelry. Today we offer to make a necklace of polymer clay in the Asian style. It will take:
- Green polymer clay;
- Stationery blade;
- A tool for rolling (you can use a paste machine, acrylic or glass rolling pin). The main requirement for the tool is an absolutely flat surface;
- Acrylic paint (gold metallic);
- Transparent varnish with a gloss effect;
- Fittings for necklaces (pins, connecting rings, small pieces of a chain of bronze color, lock-carbine);
- Golden beads of two sizes.
To create a necklace, we need a whole packageclay. We make necklaces in green and bronze colors, but you can choose any other colors for your own taste. Before work, the clay must be kneaded very well. It is more convenient to do this in several portions. Now put them together in one piece. We divide it visually into three equal parts. Now we do not need only one. While we put it aside. Cut the remaining 2/3 pieces into five pieces. 1 slightly more (this will be the central part of the necklace, 2 slightly less, it will be the details on the sides of the main part and two even smaller, these will be the side details. Now all the pieces must be rolled out. Fold the layers in half and make trapezoidal blanks (see photo). The clerical knife perfectly cuts the polymer clay. Now we return to the first 1/3the original piece of clay. From it we will make beads. From it we need to mold several different details. From two small balls make a flat bead. The remaining pieces are rolled into small cylinders and some of them are cut into flat beads. Now we make through holes in each of our beads. We pierce them with a toothpick. If you have a special drill for making holes in already baked beads, you can not use toothpicks. For trapezoidal blanks, two holes must be made. Now we are starting to decorate the beads. To do this, we will use clay scraps from our trapezoids. You need many, many, many flagella. Or one long one. Drawing the arrangement of the ornament is better to think in advance. Between the curls, have tiny balls rolled from pieces of flagellum. Fasten them comfortably with a toothpick. But try to leave on clay, as little as possible traces and fingerprints. Ideally, it is generally better to use gloves. To do this, conventional latex surgical. And now we start making holes in all elements of the bead decor. If you have special tools - it's good, but for lack of them, use a thin needle, toothpick or even a regular hairpin. She has such comfortable balls at the ends, which make beautiful pits. When we made all the trapezoid blankswe pass to two large round and flat beads and cylinders. They are also decorated with balls and strings. We do not remove toothpicks. Flat small billets simply pierce with a toothpick. Now we send all the blanks to be baked inoven. Strictly adhere to the instructions on the package with clay. In case of non-observance of the temperature or time mode, you risk losing the product hopelessly. After the blanks have dried it is necessary to cover all those wonderful decorative curls and balls that we have attached to the beads. For this purpose, the fingers or the roller are best, since the brush will color the entire surface, but we do not need it. Completely dried blanks are covered with glossyvarnish. It remains to string our beads, alternating them with the prepared accessories and round beads, fasten the lock and necklace in the style of hot Asia.
