How to sew a beach skirt with your own hands from a bandanna or scarf - an interesting summer master class with phased photos

I don’t like wearing a pareo instead of a skirt. I think it makes your legs look shorter. And sand gets into your shorts when you put them on after swimming. A short beach skirt to complement your swimsuit is exactly what I needed!
Here's how I got out of Step 1.Buy a bandana at a local market that matches the color of your swimsuit. It's about 120 rubles. You can look for a cheaper bandana, but where will you find a skirt for that kind of money? I had thread, a needle, and scissors with me. If you don't have any at hand, you'll have to buy that too. You should also take care of an elastic band, cord, or ribbon to hold the skirt in place. I left my pajama shorts without an elastic band. You can also get a cord from men's capris or shorts. They usually have an elastic band, so the cord is optional. Step 2. Cut the bandana in half, as in the photo.
Step 3. Fold the edge twice and sew the edge with a back stitch.
Step 4. Sew the sides.Just don't sew up the holes for the elastic/cord. I left the slits on the sides - more than half the length of the skirt. Step 5. Insert the elastic or cord. Usually a pin is used for this. But if you don't have one, a bobby pin will do. Checked. Here's your summer hip skirt ready.
Its size (width) can be adjusted by tighteninglace. The photo shows a square bandana, all sides of which are 52 centimeters. The length of the skirt is 25 cm. (My hip circumference is 92 cm). If you are sewing such a skirt for a little girl, you can wear it at the waist. For adults, this skirt at the waist will be too short if your bandana is the same size as mine.
