How to sew a skirt-trousers with your own hands, which will emphasize your figure
The style of the culottes allows you to wear them asbusiness suit at work. And the convenience in combination with various elements of clothing, practicality in everyday situations made it a very popular and universal form for various situations. Let's consider two of the most popular models.Model with folds.
1.We use a standard pattern for a regular straight skirt as a basis and transfer it to tracing paper using the template. 2. Mark a pleat allowance of approximately 14-20 cm through the middle of the panels. 3. Mark a semicircle from the outer line. To do this, measure down the seat length size from the beginning of T1 (top) and make a margin of approximately 2 cm. We get T2. From it, to the left, we measure a distance equal to the step width. It will be 1/8 of the hip circumference - 2 centimeters. We measure the resulting segment from T2 upwards and put a mark 4. We connect marks 3 and 4 with a barely noticeable line, and its middle with point 2. We smoothly inscribe a segment of the circle in the resulting triangle. 4. From point 3, we draw a vertical line. We put the sketch aside and mark the back half of the skirt-pants in the same way as the front half, only in mirror image. 5. Here we mark point 5 and measure the BC value in the same way with an allowance, as with points 1-2. We mark point 6. 6. From it to the right we measure our 1/8 OB. But here we add about 2-3 cm. We mark it from point 6 up and put a mark 7. We connect points 6-7-8 with a semicircle and draw a step line. 8. On the sides of both drawings from below we expand the details to 2-3 cm and align the side lines in the hip area.
Sewing the skirt-pants. 1. Cut out the details.2. We carry out basting and stitching of darts on panels and carry out wet ironing. 3. The same should be done with side and step cuts, except for the left side seam. This will be a fastener on the section up to 20 cm. We overcast everything and iron. 4. After laying and marking the counter folds, we process the top and bottom of the skirt. For the upper cut we will need a sewn-on belt.
So, we have sewn magnificent, comfortable andpractical trousers! Now let's look at another fashionable option - these are skirt-pants, flared towards the bottom. It resembles the once popular type of youth trousers - "flared".
Flared skirt-pants
1.We copy the details from the provided drawing and carry out all the operations similar to the first option. 2. From our darts to the bottom, make a cut. 3. Now we connect the sides of our darts. In order for the expansion of the panels of the skirt-trousers along the bottom to be uniform and smooth, we close the dart located at the waist on the back panel of the same size as the front. Leave the remaining centimeters of the dart (about 1.5 cm) along the waist line for the dart of the top of the back panel of the skirt. In length, this will be about 10 cm. 4. Then we apply the step seams of our trousers. 5. We expand our details from the sides in the hem area by about a couple of centimeters and align the side line in the hip area.
Now the skirt-pants are, in principle, ready! The remaining modifications and all sorts of features that emphasize your uniqueness and figure can be supplemented by realizing your own fantasy.
