How to tie a bracelet from colored rubber bands "Friendship" on the forks? Step-by-step guide with photo and explanation of weaving technique

Weaving jewelry from brightly colored rubber bandsthe activity is incredibly interesting and exciting, whoever tried to weave at least once the simplest bracelet, will certainly want to expand their knowledge and learn how to make more complex models. It is surprising, but how many different completely different and original options can be woven from a fairly simple and primitive material, however, here you can not do without special devices that were invented by both the creators of this type of creativity and its admirers, and the latter use unusual, sometimes even strange objects of our everyday life for this. So, for example, a lot of options for bracelets and other products can be created using ordinary table forks, and, depending on how the forks are located, a completely different shape and type of weaving is obtained. In one of my master classes dedicated to this topic, I already told you how to weave a wide bracelet "Rainbow" on forks, today continuing the theme of "forks", I want to share with you another master class, in which I will tell you how to make an original, bright and very elegant bracelet called "Friendship" using these simple tools. And according to the established good tradition, at the beginning of the master class, I give an assessment of its complexity. So this work can safely be attributed to medium difficulty, but this does not mean that it will be difficult for you to master this lesson, a little attention, perseverance, patience and you will definitely succeed.

Set of materials and tools

So, in order to weave a “Friendship” bracelet from rubber bands, we will need:

Description of techniques and stages of work

1.Let's start by preparing our tool for work. To do this, take two absolutely identical in shape and size table forks, turn them to each other with the back side and fasten them together with a rubber band, it is important to tighten it as tightly as possible so that the forks are securely held and do not move from their place during work. You can also use regular tape for these purposes, the result will be the same.Photo for a lesson on weaving a bracelet from rubber bands2. The tool is ready, you can start working.First of all, we need to decide on the leading color that will be the basis of the bracelet. It should be taken into account that there should be more rubber bands of this color than others. In our case, the base will be woven from blue rubber bands, so we take the first rubber band of this color, twist it once, and in this form throw it on both forks. See the photo below.Photo for a lesson on weaving a bracelet from rubber bands3.Next, take three rubber bands of any color you like, ours is a nice pink one, and put three of them on one of the forks at once. Please note that in the future, we will put similar three colored rubber bands only on this fork, from experience I can say that it is more convenient when this fork is on the left side.Photo for a lesson on weaving a bracelet from rubber bands4. Now we take another elastic band of the main, blue color and put it on both forks at once, and unlike the first elastic band of this color, we do not twist this one.Photo for a lesson on weaving a bracelet from rubber bands5. Then, using the hook, remove the lower one from the right fork, the one with only two blue rubber bands, and drop it onto the center of the upper one.Photo for a lesson on weaving a bracelet from rubber bands6.To throw the lower blue elastic band to the center, take three pink elastic bands at once with two fingers (thumb and index) of the left hand, pull them, then place the hook under them and pull the lower blue elastic band to the top.Photo for a lesson on weaving a bracelet from rubber bands7. After this, we select the next three rubber bands of the same color, in our case it is white, and put them on the same fork as the first time (the left one).Photo for a lesson on weaving a bracelet from rubber bands8.We put another rubber band of the blue primary color on top of both forks. After that, we remove the lower blue rubber band from the right fork to its center, as well as the lower blue rubber band from the left fork, having first moved aside the upper three white rubber bands.Photo for a lesson on weaving a bracelet from rubber bands9. For the next three rubber bands, we chose the orange color, and like the two previous ones, we put it on the left fork.Photo for a lesson on weaving a bracelet from rubber bands10. On top of both forks, according to the principle we are already familiar with, we again put one blue rubber band, remember that this is our main color of the bracelet.Photo for a lesson on weaving a bracelet from rubber bands11.Repeating the procedure we are already familiar with, we remove the lower blue rubber band from each fork one by one, and from the left side, first pulling to the side the last three orange rubber bands, in this case.Photo for a lesson on weaving a bracelet from rubber bands12. After this, we throw the next three previously thrown rubber bands from the left fork onto the center, from the very bottom, in our case they are pink.Photo for a lesson on weaving a bracelet from rubber bands13. Again, we put on the left fork the next three rubber bands of the same color, for example red, and then we put the main blue rubber band on top of both forks.Photo for a lesson on weaving a bracelet from rubber bands14. As in all previous times, we throw off the lower blue ones from both forks onto the upper elastic band of the main color, as well as the next lower three colored elastic bands.Photo for a lesson on weaving a bracelet from rubber bands15.We weave a bracelet of the length we need according to the above-described principle. Please note that the sequence of colors of the three rubber bands can be strictly observed, or, as in our case, you can not do this, this does not make the decoration less bright and elegant.Photo for a lesson on weaving a bracelet from rubber bands16.In order to finish the weaving, once again we do not put a trio of colored rubber bands on the left fork, but only put a rubber band of the main color on both forks and remove it, the lower blue rubber band according to the principle already familiar to us, as well as the very bottom trio, thrown on the left fork.Photo for a lesson on weaving a bracelet from rubber bands Photo for a lesson on weaving a bracelet from rubber bands17. Repeat the procedure described in the previous step until only one blue rubber band remains on each fork.Photo for a lesson on weaving a bracelet from rubber bands18.Carefully remove the remaining two rubber bands from the forks, join them together and secure them with one of the two hooks of a special plastic lock, shaped like the Latin letter “S”, as shown in the photo.Photo for a lesson on weaving a bracelet from rubber bands19. All we have to do is connect the bracelet, fasten it on the opposite side and try it on. It turned out very beautiful, bright and fun!Photo for a lesson on weaving a bracelet from rubber bands
