A child fascinated by a pirate theme, youYou can make a great (and, moreover, practical) gift: stitch a T-shirt with a suitable pattern with your own hands. How to do this - tell our master class with step by step photos and detailed description. Clothes with raglan sleeves are a good way to diversify your wardrobe. This fully applies to children's clothing! The sleeves sewn “along the scythe” look very original both on warm sweatshirts and thinner long sleeves and T-shirts. And for the skilled worker such sleeves are an opportunity to save on fabric. The fact is that in such clothes there is less fabric for cutting out the front and back of the product than in T-shirts and sweaters with standard sleeves. And if the fabric you have butt, be sure to try to sew your own children's t-shirt with raglan sleeves!
To sew a t-shirt with your own hands, you will need:
cooler (natural knitwear without elastane) - 55cm; ribana with elastane (for the neck) - a small piece; threads to match the fabric; scissors for cloth; tailor pins; a sewing machine with two interchangeable legs: a regular (“foot for zigzag”) and overlock (with a vertical side on the right).
Pattern children's t-shirts
Pattern children's t-shirt is suitable for 104size. Simply zoom in on the image until the bottom edge of the front or back part is 16 cm, and transfer the pattern to the paper. The sleeve pattern is located in the photo in such a way that the top edge of this part should be attached to the front of the T-shirt, and the bottom edge to the back.
How to sew a children's t-shirt do it yourself: job description
one. Cut out from the fabric all the necessary parts for sewing T-shirts. From the cooler it will be in front, back and two sleeves (before opening, make sure that the sleeves are symmetrical). For the neckline, cut out a 3 cm wide and 30 cm long strip from the ribana. Immediately iron all the details, and fold the neck blank in half and carefully iron. 2 Tailoring a standard type of T-shirt begins with grinding off the shoulders. But in our case this will not be necessary, because the shoulder line itself will not be. So first you need to stitch the sleeves to the front of the T-shirt. Attach the sleeves to the armholes on the front part (face to face) and split the tailoring pins along the entire curved armhole line. 3 Attach the sleeves to the front of the machine using a regular foot and knit stitch with an interval of 3. If you have an ordinary natural cooler, no problems should arise. Another thing - stretch-cooler, who loves to deform while sewing and create waves at the seam. 4. Attach the free lateral edges of the sleeves to the backrest part (also face to face), fasten with pins and fix the same with a knitted stitch. 5. Change the foot. Instead of the usual one, put an overlock foot, choose an overlock stitch with an interval of 4 (in the case with a smaller interval, the needle can “cut” into the foot and break). Process the allowances of all four seams with an overlock seam. 6. Unscrew the product on the front side. Put the usual foot, select a straight seam with an interval of 3 and otstrochite seams of the sleeves, bending the allowances on the side of the front part and the back. 7. Fold the neckline twice (inside out) and line the edges to form a ring. Turn the part on the front side and bend over the ironed fold. eight. Attach the neck to the main part of the T-shirt and attach it with pins to the neckline. In this case, you first need to attach the seam of the neck to the seam on the back of the product, and then evenly position the neck around the perimeter of the cut of the neck, slightly stretching it. 9. Stitch the neck over the shirt using the knit stitch. The place of the junction with the T-shirt will look like this: ten. Install the overlock foot and select the same stitch. Handle the seam allowances of the neck. Then put the usual foot, select a straight seam with an interval of 3 and otstrochite neck on the front side of the shirt, bending the allowances down. 11. Pin pins the side sections of the T-shirt and the sections of the sleeves. 12. Stitch these stitches with a knit stitch, and then process the edges of the fabric with an overlock stitch. 13. T-shirt is almost ready - it remains to process only the bottom of the product and the edges of the sleeves. Twist the bottom of the T-shirt to the wrong side (the first time - 0.5 cm, and the second - 1 cm), fix with pins, and then secure with basting stitching. 14. Stitch the bottom of the product with a straight seam. 15. In the same way, double up the edges of the sleeves and stitch them with a straight seam on a typewriter. T-shirt with raglan sleeves for the boy is ready! Using this pattern, you can also sew a long-sleeved T-shirt: for this, simply extend the sleeves to the desired size. Good luck to you creativity!
