How to make a panda of gum with a machine

The proposed video master class is visuallyShows how to weave from the rubber bands of the bear on a plastic machine. For weaving, we prepare black and white parts, a machine and a hook. To weave this figure, we stretch two white bands on the first and second rows, at an angle. Next, place the white iris on the pegs of the second and third rows, also at an angle. Now the details are placed on the nearest pegs of the first, second and third lines. As a result of these operations, we managed to weave a polyhedron, which later becomes the head of a panda. Then we need to weave a figure with three petals and a center in one peg out of black details. Following the work in the master class, we continue to draw black and white irises on the bars, forming a panda, its trunk and legs. In the upper part of the head, on the left and on the right, we place the black parts to weave the panda's ears. In the lower part of the billet, the last bars are strengthened with twisted rubber bands. It is necessary to weave and fasten the feet. In the zone of the upper legs it is necessary to perform the same operation, winding black iris on the posts.

After this, the same fastening must be done onthe top point of the ears. This will also require black parts, twisted several times. Next, we’ll add the same twisted elements in the place where the panda’s eyes will be located. This is a requirement in order to correctly weave and secure the panda's eyes. Continuing the master class, we stretch triangles of elastic bands in the head and body areas as shown in the video. At this stage, the most difficult weaving operation is performed. Using a hook, grab the lower elastic bands at the edge of the upper legs and transfer them to nearby pegs. Then we carry out the same operation in the upper part of the ears. We remove the dark elastic bands that were placed to form the panda's eyes from the pegs and carefully move them closer to the center of the white triangle. Then we will secure the area of the paws at the bottom of the figure, transferring the lower elastic bands to the posts that are located nearby. We continue this operation, strengthening the entire workpiece by transferring the lower elastic bands, as in the video. Having completed the fastening operation, we add a plastic lock to the last top loop and begin to carefully remove all the weaving from the pegs. Having removed the panda, let's straighten it and look at the result of the needlework. As you can see, we managed to weave a panda from colored rubber bands. Now let’s supplement the lesson with some step-by-step photos that captured the moments of needlework for you.

Master class with step-by-step photos

Here you will see what different shades of rubber bands are used for weaving the panda.
And in the next photo we see the stage of work when the head and upper body are being formed. Black details form the neck, shoulders and upper area of the figure's body.

We continue to weave the lower half of the body with white irises.

Then we stretch the parts for the panda’s paws at the top and bottom.

On the top of the panda's head we stretch black irises for the ears. And in the last photo you will see the final phase of needlework, where there is a ready-made panda figurine removed from the machine.

How to weave a panda of rubber bands crocheted without a machine

Pay attention to the following video masterClass, which demonstrates the production of this figure from the colored elements with the help of a hook. The thing is that sometimes you want to do such needlework, regardless of your location. If you need to make any figure of such material, it is quite possible without the machine, with only one metal hook. This needlework begins as usual, with the winding of one element on the hook. Then this formed knot moves to two parts, forming a bow. This workpiece is the starting point for further work on making a bear cub.

Let's add two more black rubber bands, then move onto their alternation with white elements. Having made two blanks of different sizes, we connect them together. Next, we proceed to the manufacture of the following elements using the same technique. As we make new parts for the bear, they all stay on the same tool. Having made the body and paws of the bear cub, we put them all on one iris, and continuing the needlework, we begin to weave the head. In the process of this, we introduce dark elements for the mouth, eyes and ears. The head consists of three separate light chains, and the ears, eyes and mouth are made of dark elements. When finishing the work, we pull all three chains of the head onto the last light parts, which we tighten into a knot. This is the cute little bear we got as a result of this handicraft.
