Isolate is a very original and fascinatingA kind of decorative art that is known to people about 400 years. There are several versions of this technique, but in any case it is an interesting kind of needlework, for which surfaces with carnations are used, between which the thread is stretched, which makes it possible to create very fanciful pictures. The essence of creating such patterns is that between the carnations driven into the surface in a certain sequence, threads are stretched, so an interesting volumetric image is created. In fact, even a teenager can cope with the production of a simple composition. To make a picture in this technique, you needprepare the surface. As a basis, you can use an ordinary wooden board, which you need to grind well, cover with the desired color of the paint and allow it to dry thoroughly. Next, you need to draw a diagram of the pattern and apply it pointwise to the surface with a pencil. After that, small carnations are taken and driven into the same depth along the intended points. When all the carnations are hammered, you can proceedto the tension of the thread. The thread is better to take a long one so that during the execution of the drawing you do not tie up excess nodules, which can ruin the pattern. It is worth noting that it is not necessary to use nails and wood to create such paintings. As a basis, paper or cardboard is perfect. Using an awl or a thick needle, it is necessary to make pinholes according to the drawing, and then place a thread in these holes and fix it on the back with glue. Or it is simply embroidered with threads on paper or other material at the intended points. Interest in this technique periodically appeared andwas disappearing. The peak of its popularity was at the end of the 19th century, at that time even whole books on the technique of embroidery with threads were published. Today, like a hundred years ago, interior techniques, gifts and postcards, book covers and even clothing and ornaments are used to make things out in technology.
